• Parties, peer pressure, Drinking. A short guide on how to not suck at being 'cool'

There weren't really parties in my area, but mostly kickbacks where good friends are gathering around to drink, smoke, and generally have a good time. If at any moment you hear a glass bottle break, get knocked over, or see alcohol spilled it's a regular response to just yell, "Party foul!" and get a bunch of people to do it with you. Next thing you know everyone is drunkenly shouting and Mom gets pissed for everyone being so loud.
Wow a shot an hour? if i buy a bottle of vodka for a party it will tend to go in like 5 mins from everyone shotting it ! i usually buy 20 bottles for a party and end up on my ass by about 2 in the morning girls are different than boys they take vodka well good ! but they cant handle beer (my experience of seeing girls on different drinks) [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] also if i smoke pot whilst drunk i fall asleep within a hour even if its just one or two drags
Why do I get the feeling you're 13 and by 'vodka' you actually mean Smirnoff Ice?
I really only go to parties to hang out and socialize. Possibly weed, but I haven't actually smoked at a party. Drunk sex isn't quite my thing
I'm already cool as fuck I don't need a guide
I had a party the other day. I woke up after I passed out in the bath to find a broken vase, a hole in the wall and a random lock of cheese with 3 BITES in it. WHO BITES A BLOCK OF CHEESE AND LEAVES IT IN THE FRIDGE?! Parties are the best place for socialising in High School. Just get drink, invite people over with their drink. Get drunk and chat.
I was at a party and someone decided it would be a good idea to fill everyones shoes with water and then put them in the freezer. I was not amused.
Ugh shots, more often than not, having shots ends up in vomiting and acting like an asshat. Also whisky and brandy are good for sipping, if you don't have the absolute worst shit out there. Makes me cringe when I see people taking shots out of expensive whisky ughhhhh.
I've never puked from taking shots, the only times I've puked are from cheap beer and 40s :v:
American Honey is some crazy shit. A shot of it nearly made me puke just from the taste, yet mixing it in cider makes the best drink ever.
I've never puked from taking shots, the only times I've puked are from cheap beer and 40s :v:
Well that kind of depends on how many you took. One beer equals about one shot in terms of alcohol.
The first thing I tried when I was younger was Irish whiskey. I'm pretty immune to everything else now
I think alcohol tastes good
This is not, in any way, to brag about how much I drink (I am actually pretty bad at drinking). But the OP mentions getting drunk after 5 shots. I don't know about other places, but here in Denmark 10 shots is pretty standard to buy, and that's not even a lot for most people, even if it's pure vodka/sambuka/whatever. I guess it's mainly because Danes tend to drink a lot, atleast the teenagers do. Or I might just hang around a bunch of extremely un-pussy guys.
#10. Beer before liquor, never been sicker. liquor before beer, you're in the clear.
myth busted
Protip: Lime-flavored beer tastes like ass. [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] lime-flavored ass
lager and lime is pretty popular here, though maybe with slightly older people 1 pint of lager, dash of lime cordial
lager and lime is pretty popular here, though maybe with slightly older people 1 pint of lager, dash of lime cordial
Not particularly so here. Rather, people drink the beers that are made with lime flavoring. It's extremely bad. Actually, beer is kind of just awful.
In my experiences. Like I said, I know I can't really generalize like that, but say I go to town, either one of my friends will try and fight someone, or guaranteed people will be aggressive towards me or my friends over absolutely nothing.
angry drunk, sad drunk, happy drunk seems like you're only friends with the first type while lime/lemon beer is awful hard limeade is win
angry drunk, sad drunk, happy drunk seems like you're only friends with the first type while lime/lemon beer is awful hard limeade is win
sad drunk is worst drunk. I can handle someone shoving me and getting all vexxed at me, but when a grown man is openly weeping and saying I don't care about him, I just feel like shit
with enough in me i'll turn into a mass sad drunk. but then a bit more and i'll turn into a super-charged drunk after that i'll be a passed-out drunk

And we still celebrate "Talk Like A Pirate Day", pirate style, with lots of rum and absinthe. This isn't bragging.

You should add that when you go to sleep you should take ibuprofen or a similar anti-inflammatory/pain-reliever medicine with a lot of water to reduce hangovers. Helps A LOT when you have to go to work the next day. Working at a funeral home while hung over is not fun.
Beer usually is about 1 shot per can/bottle. Mixed drinks are usually 1 shot. 1 shot is 1 shot.
What, beer equivalent to a shot of hard liquor? Beer is no where near being 80 proof, you are silly. Somebody who parties knows all this, somebody who doesn't want to party does not. So it's best to just let people experience it on their own. It takes me around 5-6 beers to get a slight buzz, and I only get real drunk if I take a bazillion shots.

Do your maths, a can of beer, which is 12 oz, is equal in term of alcohol in your blood content as a pure shot of 40% liquor of 1oz. I should know it, I've seen it in high school on some eds we've had, and once again when I took my advanced wilderness first health class. You know, drunken hunters you've got to save their asses.
Everybody here drinks cheap Mexican beer. Corona light, eugh....
I live like 20 miles away from Glitch, and I can say QFT with confidence. Although blueberry vodka is surprisingly good.
Most heavy beer is about 5% alcohol, Wine is from 10-15%. Proof is double the actual alcohol percentage so 90% proof is only 45% alcohol, which is still a lot. One standard drink is about 10ml of alcohol. For heavy beer this is about 250ml, wine it's 100ml, spirits are proximately 30ml. As a general rule, a healthy young male can process 1 standard drink every hour. More if you are bigger, less if you are fat, female, unhealthy or on other medication. Fat doesn't absorb alcohol either so it needs to be muscle mass.
Everybody here drinks cheap Mexican beer. Corona light, eugh....
lmao corona light is cheap? Where I am, people drink Keystone, PBR, and Buschs. Those beers taste like rotten butthole, Corona tastes like the beer of gods compared to Buschs. Milwaukee's Best Light is absolutely rancid too.
The thing I like about my dorm mates is that, even though we were considered the craziest dorm last year and known throughout campus for stupid drunk antics, we don't try to peer pressure others into drinking and we don't think less of people for not drinking. There's like 1/4 of us who don't drink. That said, if you don't abuse alcohol, you drink responsibly and make sure you have the right priorities(no drinking before the big midterm you idiot), then drinking is an acceptable thing to do IF THAT IS WHAT YOU'RE INTO. If you aren't, its not a big deal and the only people who will make fun of you for it are total douchebags. College beer of choice because even though it tastes like shit, its really cheap. If you have the money Corona is really good though (as far as beer goes for beginners)
Coronas are top shit here, fancy imported beer that is still nice and not for poofs. Wedge of lemon or lime in it and you got something that any amateur could drink happily. To those saying they don't like beer, try lots of different types. This will do two things, get you tasting beer more and getting used to the taste more than if you just had it occasionally, and it'll let you see that not all beers are the same. We have some really shit cheap beers here, Carlton Draught and Victoria Bitter, but they taste like a horse's ass. There are better ones and they aren't all the same.
