You only live once, might as well ignore them and enjoy a good soda when you want. Just use a straw to avoid the tooth decay, but even without a straw and the amount of soda I used to drink, I never had any problems with my teeth. My teeth is the Aryan race of teeth.

Yeah. Unless you're a super god samurai, the katana just isn't as good as it seems. There are so many other types of swords I rather spend my money on if I was going to buy one.
The katana is, much like other swords just a piece of metal in the hand of an unexperienced swordsman. It's "power" actually comes from the various Shinto rites that take place on it's creation, making the samurai believe that it was imbued with holy power, making them do crazy crap no man would even attempt doing with a sword.
Frankly it's not as impressive as for example, Damascus steel forged swords, which actually have carbon nanotube structures on them, making them more resiliant than a katana, significantly harder and sharper too.
Except swords like claymores could be devastating even in the hands of someone who's just swinging as hard as they can.
