Seconded. Despite the calls of "IT'S OVER IT WAS A TROLL ALL ALONG", everything I've looked up so far about a 'Jan Rankowski' doesn't seem to indicate a ruse at all.

For one, Suicidalsocks doesn't seem to have ever really existed as a website. Wayback machine doesn't have much, and what I did find didn't really seem connected, it's just some bland website with a few mindless HTML pages, the only surviving thing worth a damn being [URL="http://web.archive.org/web/20081102171155/http://www.suicidalsocks.com/reviews.html"]a reviews page[/URL]. It's possible that it could've been something run by Jace, but then again this is around 2008, a few years before Jace was ever popular on the internet.

There are articles from 2004 detailing a [URL="http://lizditz.typepad.com/i_speak_of_dreams/2004/06/boy_with_autism.html"]Boy with autism being banned from a public playground[/URL], along with a lawsuit about the ban which ended in [URL="http://lizditz.typepad.com/i_speak_of_dreams/2004/09/jan_rankowskis_.html"]a lost case for poor Jan[/URL]. Trouble is, that happened in [I]Maine[/I], not in Massachusetts, where Jace lives. There are a few notable people named [I]Abigail[/I] Connors that do live in MA, but given what we know of Gail, she wouldn't be in those notable people list since she either claims welfare or disability and frequently visits a still unknown "priest" with alleged cult connections. Such a person wouldn't be notable to start with, and if I recall, even the original Terminator movie made a point of showcasing that more than one person could be named 'Sarah Connor' in this instance.

It does seem to add up, there, although I'm not sure how Boston and Maine have any correlation to each other. Problem is that this article mentions that Jan here is 9 years old at the time of this happening, which is 2004. Which would put Jace's birthdate at 1995 instead of what you could assume is 1991 based on his username. It's a bit late for me and I'm feeling a little burnt out so I'm not up to seeking out any other potential connections, but I'm not sold on the idea that this guy is Jace all because of one Twitter confirmation.

I'm quite concerned, though, [I]since this only opens up a whole other level of fuck to an [U]already [B]fucktastic[/B][/U] situation[/I].

My speculation with these revelations at present is, with that information, that Jace never actually lived in Massachusetts at all until relatively recently in his life.

There was a point in his life where he had his and possibly his mother's name legally changed, he may have [I]moved[/I] to Massachusetts with his mother, Gayla, and that basically set off the whole trend of 'hide your real identity, this is not who you are'. Which would explain how he discloses repeatedly that he doesn't have lazy eye, he doesn't have such and such elsewhere, and generally acts extremely protective of himself when he actually does prove that he has a problem, and [I]we know that Jace is susceptible to this kind of stuff[/I] given how Gail has given him the faith healing treatments, and how he seems to have assimilated that method of thinking, even right down to the idea of the Deagle Nation and how faith would seem to provide him with the answers to completely insane ideas. The belief that Tupac was held in Gaza, the belief that Brianna Wu was waiting to accept Jace's challenge in person.

Given everything else prior to this, even prior to Deagle Nation, it's not some revelation that this was an entire act unless something else comes up. I would say we almost have enough for a dissertation on the subject.

My brain works now after that lengthy post of mine previously, so I have a another set of things to consider:

- Given where Jace lives, Gail could've pushed the news article onto him, or he could've read about it on his own. The Boston Globe [I]did[/I] report on it.
- Jace was probably educated to give no one his real name. So with the news article, he fills in that 'real name' field with the name of that autistic kid who got thrown out of a park.
- As for suicidesocks itself, the content matches what Jace would follow gaming-related. Runescape, Counter-Strike. He probably named his steam account after it.
- And to double the idea that he just name his account after it, others have found that suicidesocks dates back to 2005 in domain registration.
- o baby a triple: I saw someone in an online For Glory match in Smash Bros. 3DS a few days ago who'd named themselves 'markiplier', but I'm pretty damn sure that it wasn't actually THE Markiplier.

He's done a lot of graphics and other shit for Jace, but he's yanked Jace's chain like a troll would to mess with a lolcow, some of it with Jace being oblivious as expected. I think he's been helping "Jace" orchestrate things, flipping allegiances to keep both sides on track publicly for Jace's next big "fuck-up" that'd generate tons of troll response. He's the plant in the audience that leads the heckling whenever it quiets down.

Even if this is fake I've seen enough other stuff that, while not quite on this level, is pretty far out there.

Many of these stories are basically anti-memes because, while often not harmful or private matters, they usually contain an "out of control" element that makes people want to not know about it outside a fictional context.
