He thought that the united states shootings of the theater and school were done by muslims. Anything that gets into the media due to the tragedy it caused was done by a muslim. Including the 'boston terror bombings', which for a long time he thought were perpetrated by a couple of black guys.

If/when Eli dies, at least we did the best we could. We gave him advice, locations, and even an emergency number to call up. We gave way more attention and care to Eli than Jace ever did.
