To make a long story short, he claims to be in a town near "Mount Raymond", by which he presumably means Mount Ramon. Mount Ramon is in the arid Negev Heights, which makes locating him relatively easy, as there aren't many towns around. The closest town to Mt Ramon is Mitzpe Ramon, about 15 miles from the Egyptian border. On the one hand, he's moving further away from the Palestinian territories, which is good, but on the other hand, he's wandering the Negev Desert, which - if he's not just circling the outskirts of the town, which is entirely plausible for him - is going to kill him if he keeps it up.
