He has demonstrated some ability to actually plan ahead when necessary, so with any luck he actually let others know exactly where he is going.

Yeah, the issue is that they've been doing this for so long without breaking character. There are also plenty of third party encounters with them. And Jace has been like this since before he even had a following.
