Well, fuck, there goes another awesome movie.
There is no way you can remake Tron with CGI. As cool as CGI looks, it just looks so......bad....in a movie that was the last step before CGI completely took over creating hard-to-do scenes in movies.
Now watch the add a lo- OWAIT, there was something like that in the original. I wonder how they will fag that one up.
EDIT: Now if they even dare touch 2001, Kubrick will spin in his grave and people will riot in the streets, screaming for blood.
Totally random but, in your avatar; is that the kid from Digimon Frontier?
I got to the Tron world in Kingdom Hearts 2 and its hard as balls of steeel.
I played the game Tron 2.0, it was in need of gameplay changes in some places but it was an okay game
Daft Punk.
Goddamn now I'm interested.

Yeah if they dare to remake 2001 I will get out the napalm ... but I think they should make films of 2061 and 3001 though, they were good books.

Uhhhh
CGI makes perfect fucking sense and looks great in a surrealist neon-lit video game realm.
In other types of movies, like monster movies, not as much.
Tron? Daft Punk? Justice?
:gizz:

Not really. I love that level though.
watched the "test" trailer and oh my god can't wait to see it, i love jeff bridges, he makes some of the best bad guys.
You wait and see, no one will remember it cause most movie goers are idiot teens who weren't even born yet, and they'll say it sucks, then they'll remake it.
what are you talking about? i've seen it, everyone i know has seen it, and even if teenagers for some reason had no idea what tron was, their parents would know and have seen it, and would drag them along to see it
Book to movie never works.
uh, err, huh? he was talking about a book-to-movie film that was great, are you blind?
2001: A Space Odyssey was a novel in 1968, and released as a film in 1981. both the novel and the film are amazing and recognized as such. a milestone for novels, and then a milestone for film. it's not even the only highly successful book-to-film, either.

I assume you're blind then.
I assume you have short term memory loss.
Book to movie never works.
Exactly, book movies don't work.
Here's one of the songs by Daft Punk from the movie:

It's disney.
Looks gay

The first one's disney as well.

Any relationship? I believe this is the same one if I'm not mistaken.
A: Fucking awesome game
B: The game is completely unrelated to the movie. This will be a standalone sequel, not a remake or a movie adaptation of the game. Pure original story.

I thought the movie and the book were made at the same time in 1968
It (novel) was developed concurrently with Stanley Kubrick's film version and published after the release of the film.
yeah you're right
but then there's Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, the LOTR Trilogy, Nineteen Eighty-Four, Mystic River, and so many other great book-to-movie films.
Yup, there's loads of them.
Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, No Country for Old Men, too many to name really.
So it's really silly for him to say
Book to movie never works.
I'm a bit confussled about the story (never seen Tron ). Are they inside a video game or what?

In the original a guy got sucked into cyberspace. You might wanna see it to get the full gist of it.
Allso in my opinion, the new suits are too plain, it needs more circuitry like in the original. Allthough that might be to symbolize the progress of technology.
