What happens if you ask for a negative 5 day ban?
What happens if you ask for a negative 5 day ban?
You'll get a 2,147,483,642 day ban.
You'll get a 2,147,483,642 day ban.
That's a signed int overflow (doesn't overflow when you go negative). An unisgned overflow would be 4294967290 days.

What if everyone on FP was perma'd forever?? (The world would be a better place.)
What if everyone on FP was perma'd forever?? (The world would be a better place.)
Do you really think releasing facepunchers to the world would make it better?
Can
Yeah, this is what an innocent person would do.
Be a bannable phrase in Polidicks now, the same way, Justify This Tudd or Let's see how Trumpets defend this and other quasi-shitposting empty rhetoric has been? It adds nothing to the thread, and is just faintly smug mental masturbation that gets automatically tacked on to the first 5-10 posts of any Trump related shenanigans.

There's nothing else to really even say on the matter at this point. He's just incriminating himself more and more.
When is the annual shitpost day, the day when users can shitpost for 24 hours and have no repercussions?
January 26.

i meant it's low effort but it's not on par with calling out people or just generally insulting people however someone uttering the phrase "Yeah, this is what an innocent person would do." should be a bannable post if it was in the context of something like "Trump Hires Another Lawyer" since that's pretty much a shitpost in the same sense that bringing up clinton's emails in an unrelated discussion is a shitpost.
All posts in Polidicks have 5% innate base chance of getting bannable.
Just saw someone twirling fire at Nobby's... you see some weird shit sometimes.

Just delete the tf2 section tbh, easiest way to end all this drama. :v:
if I create a change.org petition can I get the mods' pay docked thanks
so about that tf2 drama as for the rating thing : yall need to chill, there is no question that the action was pretty stupid (but funny imo) but it really isnt a second watergate as for MUS and the bans : I understand the point made, however as others have said most of the bans are new accounts with low post counts, reason why tf2 is the only section this is happening in is because facepunch is more known in the tf2 community, since they were the stone pillar that kept the old ARG stuff rolling. These are my 2 cents, but most importantly I just want yall to get along alright
Just delete the tf2 section tbh, easiest way to end all this drama. :v:
So basically generate yourself more bad rep? Talking this topic through, listening to both ends, and actually finding a solution that both can find good, will atleast keep you with some good rep.
Here, I'll repost what I put in general. Noone is inherently protesting the subforum's deletion in of itself right now, or even MUS's. It's that the motives appear to be that the people wanting it deleted appear to want it deleted not for the betterment of Facepunch, but because some sort of smug and condescending tone towards the game and its community seems to be driving it. I see some being genuine and saying that TF2 doesn't deserve an entire subforum at this point. That is a very fair point. But then I see some who's reasoning is "we dont need a forum for this dead game and this shit community hurrdurr", which is causing this whole problem in the first place. It seems like it's deletion is for some sort of self-satisfaction of seeing the TF2 subforum die rather than it benefiting the website.
Combine the 'TF2 General' thread and MUS into 1 Megathread Simple
if I create a change.org petition can I get the mods' pay docked thanks
The mods arent even paid anything, and never were, really they used to get tips from boostar but that's long dead thanks to tax issues
craptasket actually is away lmao. someone linked me this thread and I thought it'd be funny to swap ratings by reshuffling the posts since it'd obviously look fake as fuck but holy shit you guys are acting like this is the next watergate or something lol. If something got removed tho it was on accident since the posts should just be in different spots. what is missing exactly?
If you're wondering why people are displeased, it isn't a very complicated reason. Basically, it's customary to respect authority that comports itself with decorum and professionalism. It's likewise customary to disrespect authority when it appears to originate from children exercising power because it's humorous (to themselves). I'm well acquainted with this forum's "culture," but that doesn't mean operating like a high school clique is admirable. Believe it or not, hardly anyone in this subforum cares much for Facepunch as an entity beyond the realm of TF2 discussion. We're here because for some reason, a large number of veterans seeking thoughtful and in-depth discussion (discussion that doesn't necessarily 100% pertain to competitive TF2) gravitated here. You should actually be flattered, if I'm being perfectly honest.
Only way this TF2 issue is going to be solved is if EVERYONE goes on Netflixs and searches up Searching for Sugar Man to use their time more effectively.
if I create a change.org petition can I get the mods' pay docked thanks
Here sure I'll give you my recent payment from Facepunch Studios LTD. On the topic of the recent drama in the tf2 chat thread, I don't think how anyone reacted was all that unreasonable. A lot of the people in the tf2 subforum are opposed to the idea of MUS being closed down, and even if you don't agree with them, it's at least understandable that people aren't going to be happy when it seems like their disapproval is being censored. I think the bans were unnecessary as well and it borderlines on entrapment, people noticed that ratings were being changed, so of course they are going to point it out and even be rather unhappy with it considering the subject at hand. Of course, some people did go a bit too far, but permabanning somebody over this? I think that's pretty much overkill.

If they wanted to talk about overwatch they could've posted there. You don't have to post anything in a thread that has no topic to discuss, in fact on quite a few forums they close threads that don't have anything to talk about until some update or however shows up, if activity warrants it. But they had to go and start screeching about legitimate offtopic bans and doubled down until they found a hill to die on that involved MUS getting permanently removed. I mean it isn't like they didn't leave you TF2 general to chat in about new updates if they came. You're lucky at all they didn't ban everybody involved in this farce, to say nothing of closing the section down. Whether you like it or not this forum isnt a democracy either.
Can anyone argue in favour of keeping MUS, rather than just merging it in with TF2 General? I'm trying to be level headed here and see your point of view, but if we just look at the fact MUS has more bans than any other thread in the whole rest of the forums, why is it worth keeping it? And why is it such a big deal for it to be going?
