All of Facepunch? I don't know, do you think it's really that toxic?
yeah but imagine all that time we've spent here making bad posts nobody will read or care about could have been spent learning useful skills or watching quality movies or jacking off
yeah but imagine all that time we've spent here making bad posts nobody will read or care about could have been spent learning useful skills or watching quality movies or jacking off
I do two of those things while browsing Facepunch kiddo, get efficient.
Why is this thread just 50 % users with anime avatars kissing mod ass
2 of em already got mod themselves so it seems to be working
kiwi? more like weewee
All this is just some ARG for the next major TF2 update. Valve has teamed up with the mods to close MUS so none of you would have easy access to someone posting all the secrets.
First they came for MUS, and I said nothing as I did not care about TF2 updates
First they came for MUS, and I said nothing as I did not care about TF2 updates
What TF2 updates?
the only reason MUS is such a shithole right now is because it's over a year into a major update drought with true radio silence from valve, only making people incredibly impatient and antsy along with the new accounts flowing in (most likely from /r/tf2 imo) thinking MUS knows what's going on when the reality is that noone knows whats going on over at valve 90% of the shitposting in MUS will fade away once the update drops, so cutting MUS from the get-go when whats going on right now is only temporary kind of seems like an overreaction at most I'd say not allow new MUS threads until the jungle update drops so people can actually have things to talk about
did you nincompoops really expect Valve of all companies to have even the slightest care for communicating with its fans lmao
we can usually deal with valve's signature silence in 6-month intervals, but it's been almost 13 months man we're trying
did you nincompoops really expect Valve of all companies to have even the slightest care for communicating with its fans lmao
at most I'd say not allow new MUS threads until the jungle update drops so people can actually have things to talk about
Yeah, but the thing is, we only get 1 - maybe 2 - major updates a year at this point, with very little to speculate on anymore. The thread was just a surrogate general chat thread. In the context of us getting info on genuinely major updates well ahead of time (such as the Jungle/Pyro update), I would be okay with a single purpose speculation thread for genuinely major updates (meaning, not Halloween or Christmas unless we get weapons or other major content) that would only contain speculation for that single update. But, at this point, updates are too infrequent and not major enough to warrant constant/frequent MUS thread iterations.
did you nincompoops really expect Valve of all companies to have even the slightest care for communicating with its fans lmao
I think I remember reading an interview once with Gabe or Chet or someone about how Valve cares about its fans obviously, but when it comes to new content they change their minds a lot about what they actually include in it. So they prefer not to say anything until it's all set in stone to avoid confusion and looking stupid I guess.
I'm noticing a big excuse is that of "update drought". I think that's clearly a sign to well, not use the thread. There's a general for a reason.
What is this "ratings joke" you people speak of
Why is this thread just 50 % users with anime avatars kissing mod ass
Cause we voted to make the site the opposite of that so the mods punk'd us like Ashton Kutcher would
People calling for removal of the tf2 subforum clearly have never been in the tf2 subforum. Merging the emporium into a megathread with the rest of tf2 discussion makes no sense.
Remove all subforums and threads
facepunch has quite a big history with tf2. would be sad to see the forum go.
facepunch has quite a big history with tf2. would be sad to see the forum go.
????????????? [editline]21st July 2017[/editline]
Merging the emporium into a megathread with the rest of tf2 discussion makes no sense.
?????????????????
hey crapt what are you doing
?????????????
A lot of top community contributors go on/have gone on the tf2 subforum. The emporium specifically was one of the biggest places for tf2 mods for a long time. Other than that, a lot of leaks and such have started here on Facepunch. Good amount of community projects also started here.
what's tf2
never forget robotic bogaloo, that was a v. exciting community project feat. facepunchers
what's tf2
A game the moderators seem to care about enough to manipulate ratings in threads about it >.> And then ban people for "caring about ratings" when they complain about it. The raw irony isn't funny anymore, its just sad at this point.
Honestly I think if you want a ~serious and adult~ forum you're in the wrong place :wok:
And then ban people for "caring about ratings" when they complain about it.
the three bans that were actually just for that were undone right away since that was just a newmod jumping the gun, but I can already tell people are just gonna keep ignoring that part lol

It's just the things I quoted are not based on reality / not happening / honestly left me dumbfounded
Just having a valve games subforum again honestly seems to make the most sense, and it'd let dota, cs:go, and half-life threads have more of a place to be. TF2 forum seems similarly as active as most of the hobby forums were when they got the axe.
Do you honestly think we don't know that. It's just the things I quoted are not based on reality / not happening / honestly left me dumbfounded
My bad, I misunderstood what those question marks meant :v:
