Oh and once again, i will die before i give up the fight to bring back the furry subforum
Oh and once again, i will die before i give up the fight to bring back the furry subforum
Honestly with the amount of furries on Facepunch I would not be surprised if that would be more active than the TF2 subforum
Watch yourself, Games in Progress, don't want to end up like MUS or Minecraft, do you?
Merge this forum into a discord chat then to email from there
Can we have a Cubeworld forum?
A Cubeman forum for discussing dodge chargers, google glasses and slurs for cops

we banned the weird porn threads for a reason
we banned the weird porn threads for a reason
Couldn't handle the weirdness?
we banned the weird porn threads for a reason
Yeah, kids kept sending each other nudes through them.
I see your point about GIP though, it is rather underutilised at present.
I'd say GIP is a necessary evil, as otherwise everyone would probably post their server threads in GGD... which I don't personally have a problem with, but it could be spammy.
i mean were they supposed to keep letting kids post dick pics

How will FPUK be revived if GIP doesn't exist?
How will FPUK be revived if GIP doesn't exist?
I can already imagine it, it'll start off with some friendly shit-flinging and before you know it half of the community is getting banned in the span of 12 hours.
It'll be fun :^)
Did you guys change anything with the usertitles? Mine seems to be broken.
250 character limit. You getting banned with a title over that will ruin it.
[editline]23rd July 2017[/editline]
But I think it looks better like that honestly.
Ah I see. Tho I kinda agree and I'll send an improved version to hezzy when I get around to properly optimizing it.
-snip i had no idea what i was trying to say-
You dont appeal at all since they dont matter.
How do we appeal to MUS posters since this forum is unique but everyone in MUS treats it as a second Reddit?
We give them the rust section treatment, make them use newpunch. :vs:
a fate worse than banned
make every forum but the tf2 section use newpunch
seems good to me
Forced rating swaps are ultimately harmless and a decent meme, but when moderators act like there's nothing remotely manipulative about moving dumb ratings off their post, I think that's really dumb. Regardless of whether or not you give a shit at least act aware that it's a "funny because I'm an ass" move.
Seeing moderators go "haha wow guys it's just a funny joke chill out xD" is cringe. You're dealing with new unaware posters, your prodding forces every normal poster to have to sit and endure arguments because new posters become threatened and moderators bait them into shitposting more. Further shitting up the threads.
I find it a bit insulting that the MUS section was closed for shitposting (fair enough), people get told to go talk about it in this forum discussion thread, only to be met with the mods themselves shitposting instead of any constructive.
The only exception was hezzy, who actually gave some reasoning and gave a compromise

The only thing I've personally seen is MUS posters come here to complain the thread was closed. I have yet to see one of these "new unaware posters" complaining that a thread they likely weren't all that committed to is being merged with another thread.
Also I'm pretty sure they posted like several times to bring all discussion into here to begin with...so if they're still shitposting in that thread after that then isn't that kinda their problem?
Instead of further fuelling the fire and attacking the people who provide us a service I would like to express my concerns about possibly axing the TF2 section:
The Team Fortress 2 section has been a starting point for a lot of users into communities, source, gmod, modding and well, gaming in general.
Over it's lifetime it has spawned TF2 modding, which got noticed by valve and implemented into the game. The TF2 section has been actively read by valve members over the years, taking note of feedback and ideas for the game.
The section has directly influenced updates, as well as spawning two officially picked up community updates. Not to mention being host to several competitions.
Due to this large contribution for TF2's life cycle, garry is an option on the TF2 workshop to give a small percentage of the profits to for hosting the TF2 section on facepunch for all these years.
Losing the TF2 section for modding alone could actually have an impact on the future of TF2.
Yes, TF2 has sadly been on the decline this past year and fans have been getting desperate for any information and updates. But as soon as that update hits and the TF2 section ain't around for users to flood towards, it could be detrimental for both facepunch and TF2.
The actions of a few users not being able to follow simple directions is inexcusible, but don't let a large part of TF2 and its communities suffer because of it.
Merging all Valve's games to a single section is a solution that could benefit the Dota 2, and Counter Strike communities as well. Exploring this option and communicating it in advance would be nice. Axing it would be an unwise move.

The last 5 pages of general chat have been moderators changing ratings, new posters calling abuse of power, and moderators going WOW LIGHTEN UP LMAO. all while legitimate posters have to sit and wait this dumb shit out. Eventually it was settled by telling people to post here. It should have never gone past one mod post.
The last 5 pages of general chat have been moderators changing ratings
I don't really care about this. It's literally ratings, get over it.
new posters calling abuse of power, and moderators going WOW LIGHTEN UP LMAO.
I assume you're referring to FireTornado's post which was like the only controversial post over those pages. The only new poster that had grievances Kiwi addressed directly (and the grievances weren't really grievances, as he was more siding with the merge than anything else). He wasn't banned, he wasn't shitposting.
all while legitimate posters have to sit and wait this dumb shit out. Eventually it was settled by telling people to post here. It should have never gone past one mod post.
Your "legitimate" posters are the ones causing shit. They're the ones being banned. They're the ones making a fuss out of a thread merge acting like it's the second holocaust. It's a thread merge and it was already decided literally by Garry who said there's only need for one chat thread.
If you're still complaining about it after that then all I can say is get used to it because it already happened.

Alright just ignore me and Icemaz who gave a level of reasoning and a compromise which basically Hezzy reinforced.
We did mention multiple times about narrowing down the threads inside there and moving away from it having its own dedicated section.
If you want MUS so bad

Amazing how much drama happens when people are told to stop shitposting and get told to go shitpost in the designated shitposting/general thread.
:chillout:
