The real question is: Will my avatar and title transfer to Newpunch?
The old 16x16 avatar idea will be enforced only on you.
Can I pay for Tudd to have a 1000x1000 avatar?
Million dollar idea: Pay for unban. The longer the ban, the more you have to pay. You're welcome.
So infinite money for permabans?
The real question is: Will my avatar and title transfer to Newpunch?
Isn't there a rule against memeshit?
Isn't there a rule against memeshit?
will there be a rule against Anime avatars that's the big question (also i'd tottaly pay for a title, i've wanted one for a while.)
The real question is: Will my avatar and title transfer to Newpunch?
Titles, unsure avatars are already cached, if garry wants them to update, he'll do it manually at one point
Could this be the return of FPUK properly, and not like my attempt at a return last Summer?
Make users able to buy crates Using crates you can unbox post skins, which change the look of your post box, title, profile, etc. you can trade these post skins. Post skins can have kill clocks on them that count things like smartness lost, posts made, etc. Use the crate money to raffle dragon dildos. [sp]/s[/sp]
I got permabanned from previewing a post thanks to smartness. I wasn't very smart. Still ain't. :dogcited:
I got banned for previewing a post with w-hat in it. Back when that was a ban.
I once got permabanned for getting the shits and threatening to post deepweb shit on every forum section. Boy was I autistic back then. This was back when there was a banned members section where us banned retards could post away with no rules to bind us.
I'd definitely pay to keep some FP stuff up and running, no problem with that for me. [editline]14th August 2017[/editline] Also thanks Reagy for the AwfullyDark fork with new subforum icons and stuff.
You should offer a way to pay money to keep FP down at a more competitive rate than the DDOS zombie bot owners, that way you can actually cover server costs every time some skiddy gets banned and throws a tantrum
Reading SH torments my body and mind and I expect to get paid
If it's a one time payment, count me in for getting that sweet sweet gold
When they get banned, it changes the character limit and breaks the title. Not sure if there's a way to change this, but I will look into it. The simplest solution is not to get banned...
It should be somewhere within the vB admin panel, its not enforced on the database like ban reasons are so it should be defined somewhere within the configuration section.
It should be somewhere within the vB admin panel, its not enforced on the database like ban reasons are so it should be defined somewhere within the configuration section.
I'm expecting it to be within a php file somewhere
Facepunch community organized tiki torch march when?
Kind of a forum related question, but also browser related since there isn't currently an option for it on the forums, as far as I know. So, I like to lurk in huge media threads from time to time, but my browser usually shits out for a moment reloading all of the embedded images/tweets/videos at once. Are there any firefox add-ons to make it so that, going into one of those threads, it doesn't load dozens of YouTube video titles and thumbnails all at once? Maybe one where it replaces the media with a "show content" button, and clicking that button loads the media. It would be nice as a forum setting, but if anyone knows of a firefox add-on that already does that it would be nice.
I'm expecting it to be within a php file somewhere
Knowing how much of this forum is hacky edits, wouldn't surprise me. The rating system is entirely file controlled and was never actually integrated into the admin panel far as I understand for example.
Maybe funding could go towards more Camp FP type events or similar things?
I got permabanned for posting screenshots of the Sims 3 before it was released by Hezzy., didn't even have a warez ban before or any kind of "last chance" status either. I swear the dudes just got it out for me, hell it took him getting banned to become a moderator, now if this isn't all just one big ironic twist of fate then I don't know what is.
Make users able to buy crates Using crates you can unbox post skins, which change the look of your post box, title, profile, etc. you can trade these post skins. [sp]/s[/sp]
If I was US President I'd make it so loot boxes would be considered gambling, and any company that doesn't comply would be forced to unlock every skin for every player for free. I mean shit, I wouldn't just use the "most expensive" cs:go skin because it wouldn't really exist anymore, because anyone can use anything. To be honest you'd still have probably the same level of variety you have now, if not more, because now people aren't limited by their choices.
I've gotten the go ahead and have began to work on something exciting. We're going to launch a community fund that rewards users for donating towards it with titles / name changes / gold membership, etc. The community fund will be used to pay for game servers, raffle & contest prizes, charitable causes, etc. This is something that the community has previously done out of their own pocket. Users will be able to apply for funding as well. Funding will be transparent and account statements will be released on a regular basis. There are some events planned for the launch of the community fund, too. What do you think? Would you donate towards the fund and if so, how much would you be willing to spend? What would you like to see as rewards for donating? Do you have any ideas what the fund could be used towards?
i've actually really been wanting to get a new title, so I think this would be awesome
The old 16x16 avatar idea will be enforced only on you.
So wait 16x16 isn't happening? I haven't followed newpunch, is it 32x32/something equally stupid or do we finally get normal avatars?
So wait 16x16 isn't happening? I haven't followed newpunch, is it 32x32/something equally stupid or do we finally get normal avatars?
125x150, for everyone, since gold wont exist anymore.
I'm gonna miss the 2:1 ratio :s:.
I would definitely want bigger file size for avatars. Im ok with the current dimensions for avatars, but 200 kb is too restrictive nowadays.
I would definitely want bigger file size for avatars.
For individual avatars that might be true but it's a fair bit of data when you consider that each page of a thread can contain up to 8mb of avatars.
don't browsers cache those images though so even if you're browsing a lot you're only having to load that 8mb once?
don't browsers cache those images though so even if you're browsing a lot you're only having to load that 8mb once?
Yeah, but there's on average like 2,000 people online on Facepunch at any given time. That's a lot of avatars to cache in total and while I can't speak for Chrome, Firefox's default cache setting seems to top out at around 350mb in total.
