the decade is not over.
If you mean the 2000s yes they are over.
What's popular over here where rich kids think they're ghetto: It makes me want to kill myself.
I'm sad to say that it'll be known for generic, uninspired pop music. Bring back psychedelic rock!
Physcadelic rock was never 'here', it was always sorta just on the side lines.
in the uk i'd say shitty pop music, drum n bass and dubstep.
Really shitty auto tune rap.
in the uk i'd say shitty pop music, drum n bass and dubstep.
Dubstep has FINALLY reached Swden! :iia:
Physcadelic rock was never 'here', it was always sorta just on the side lines.
Uh, Floyd were bigger than pretty much every other band during the mid seventies.
Well this is really the first full decade where the internet could be used to mass-distribute new music. So yeah, this decade will be known for the revolutionization of underground music. As for the mainstream... Yeah. Shitty pop. :/
Here is what I am hoping. Either techno becomes the music of the mainstream, or there post-rock/post-metal. Maybe both.
Probably for being a good song.
Shit music
2010 will be the year of post-goth electronic afrobeat disco-step.
2010 will be the year of in which there will be a return of the 1940s-50s blues :)
What has this decade offered that isn't mediocre?
As long as black metal is still universally unknown and disliked in the mainsteam then everything will be okay. :black101:
What has this decade offered that isn't mediocre?
Queens of the Stone Age, Muse
Slipknot and Owl City! :neckbeard: :arghfist::barf:
Owl City makes me want to kill myself. There has been some decent stuff, but most of it was shit, I agree with the majority.
As long as black metal is still universally unknown and disliked in the mainsteam then everything will be okay. :black101:
The day black metal becomes mainstream is the day I fucking end it all.
Queens of the Stone Age, Muse
Both founded in the 90s. Sorry, try again.
The day black metal becomes mainstream is the day I fucking end it all.
I'd hide underground to avoid it
Both founded in the 90s. Sorry, try again.
Far as I know, qotsa didn't get big until the 2000s. Not so sure about Muse. But you do have a point.
Muse started in like 94, I think. lol
Alright then, try two. Them Crooked Vultures. (Probably kind of cheating, but still.)
pendulum's immersion more calvin harris/dizzee rascal most likely justice's new album more shit songs by jay sean
Being a highschooler and drawing away from the norm of shit music is difficult. It was my freshman year where, (surprisingly) I was able to find good music rather than give in to the mainstream bullshit that eats away at creativity, originality, and straight up meaning. I resulted in listening to indie rock and underground hip hop or merely listening to older stuff to fill in the void. As for the rest of my generation, growing into this decade of utter garbage, I honestly feel sorry for them.
