Why is there a bias towards Call of Duty?
There is sticking to a formula and there is retexturing and changing weapon stats.
WE'RE UNDERWATER gets me every time.
There is sticking to a formula and there is retexturing and changing weapon stats.
shut up. im buying bf3 AND MW3 and i will enjoy both equally, so why cant everyone else?
I used to love CoD. And I do still play Black Ops the odd time, but the thing that has slowly made me hate the franchise is just that every year its 60 euro for a new one. The difference with the games mentioned further up is that they usually don't put one out every year. It just ends up costing way too much.
Grand Theft Auto has a lot of repackaged stuff
Uhhhhh, GTA SA to GTA IV isn't repackaging. They were on a new engine, using different mechanics. Same goes to GTA VC to GTA SA.

This is dumb just stop talking about CoD if it bugs you so much and stop posting videos like this.
Mario has a lot of repackaged stuff Assassin's Creed has a lot of repackaged stuff Sonic has a lot of repackaged stuff Pokemon has a lot of repackaged stuff Grand Theft Auto has a lot of repackaged stuff Rainbow Six has a lot of repackaged stuff Splinter Cell has a lot of repackaged stuff MGS has a lot of repackaged stuff The list goes on, yet people love the above mentioned games. Why is there a bias towards Call of Duty?
Nah, it's not the same man. The CoD franchise has been annual since MW. And the latest installments have been way too similar. They're not even bothering changing the HUD. Sadly it has become clear that Activision is now publishing these games just to make money, to hold the cash cow alive. Sure, dev teams and publishers have to make decent income - but this has gotten out of control. As far as your Battlefield argument - there are loads of stuff that's been added since Battlefield BC2. - An updated graphics engine, meaning that the look of the game has been thoroughly refined. - An updated damage/physics engine; take a look at Battlefield 3 destruction demos and compare them to BC2. Do you see improvement? Thought so. - An updated animation engine. The animations of people in this game are dynamic, which means that models actually adapt to their environment in real time. No clipping, and really smooth, slick animations - (PC) They amped up the max player count from 32 to 64. I may have left a lot of stuff out, but this is what I could think of off the top of my head. Now can you make me a list of changes from MW2 to MW3? Jesus Christ, can you really say that there's not much difference between BF2 and BF3? And don't say that Infinity Ward/Activision didn't have time to make such leaps between their games. They have enough time and money to actually make somewhat refreshing games. It's just their greed that gets in the way.
This is dumb just stop talking about CoD if it bugs you so much and stop posting videos like this.
I think it's good that people vent their displeasure with Activision and CoD. Where would games be without consumer criticism?
Really? Because in my opinion, Battlefield 3 looks like a spit-shined Bad Company 2.
Minus the whole new physics engine, more VEHICLES, better bloom and more eye candy, maybe the aspect of going prone? If it was another bad company, it would be called so. It's another BATTLEFIELD, not bad company.
Oh my fucking god are you guys still arguing over every single one of his comments even though I already did so and it's over? You guys sure love to debate.

I can't keep my attention on COD for very long, because it never really appealed to me as a shooter. I will say though that I did get chills the first time I played the battle for the White House in MW2.
