By the way, Kerry, on average how long do these kinds of swords take to make? I imagine a monster like Guts' 2-hander from Berserk takes quite a while to make.
I'm sure there's some stuff lurking in that tiny grey area between milk jugs and people you could stab. Like mannequins or meat. It's just you make a whoa damn badass sword and then you slice up a few flimsy plastic things. That's like testing out a minigun on a small plant pot or a missile on a box full of packaging peanuts. Slightly underwhelming.
It would, but those exist IRL, though maybe not to the scale that DS puts them at
of course, but DS scale would be badass Arya's needle exists irl too after all, as do rapiers, just not, as specific as those ones

We build 6 weapons in 7 days They arrive on a Monday, shoot the anvil shot and cutting on the following Tuesday. Needle, Link's Shield, Auron's katana, Berserk, Katarina from LOL and one more (Marvel based :D) all made in that time frame. Phantom blade was a special session just for ubisoft fitted in so Phantom, Kill La Kill, Tessiaga and one more (kinda Ubisoft related) were built in 5 days. It is a rough week. [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] Zakkin, We now have custom targets made for us, you just wont see them for a couple weeks.
They should make Riddick's knives (Ulaks) sometime :o
Awesome, my favorite sword from the series. The smallest, but one of the deadliest. Great work again, fellers.~
I think the last video of the season will be a big hit. We are starting filming of the next season on Monday.
You mean the Saw Cleaver? [editline]7th April 2015[/editline] They really Should make the Black Knight Greatsword or Artorias' Greatsword.
I second the notion for Atorias' Greatsword.
These aren't weak if you are implying that. It's made from damascus steel, for goodness sake. At the same time they probably don't want to wreck them by chopping bricks or something like that, they are still show pieces after all.
Eh damascus steel was just a specific steel matrix, though the patterning you see could come from a large number of other ores as well. Not to mention we've got alloys which are flat out better these days.
Hey Kerry. Just wanted to say that It's pretty badass that you take the time to communicate with the weapon-enthusiast community. The things you guys create are awesome. I figure you guys are drowning in weapon requests, but I'm gonna piss in the sea of piss, and add another suggestion: Ebony Sword from Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Thanks. PS: My father has the same name.
They had clips from the show where a dude got the top of his skull sliced off. They showed at least 4 people dying from the show. The cutting/slicing scenes are likely just an afterthought or some recording of the smiths having a bit of fun with what they spent so much time making. Above all, the pieces they make are meant for visuals even if they can be used physically.
That's different, though. TV shows movies of people being shot all the time, but they'd never show footage of an actual person being shot without blurring it or cutting at the last second. It may be a similar thing
