(ps not my opinion)
Why the fuck are you telling us then. Are you retarded?
Um, when YOU give the money to GAMESTOP, YOU get a game. Don't you think that this is equal to: When GAMESTOP gives the money to the DEVELOPERS, GAMESTOP gets the game.
The only thing it seems that people aren't taking into account of buying used is that: Yes the game is being bought. When it is resold and put back up for sale. I come in to buy the game, I purchase the used game over the new game. Gamestop gets my money. The game company never gets the money from me. These are absolutely made up numbers, but say 100 people are looking to get the new "Generic Blaster 2011" game... 50 of them go in and buy it on release day for $50 bucks. So the developers just made $2500 the first day. The other 50 go in a week later and buy the game USED from Gamestop. Since they buy it used, the developer doesn't see any of this money. So instead of the developer making $5,000 (100 * $50) the developer is only making HALF of that or $2,500 (50 * $50). I am not saying that buying used or pirating is better than the other. I think in terms of business, companies who sell your product used are in fact hurting your profits. Again, this is coming from a business standpoint, not a moral stand point or anything. Oh and just for your own knowledge, Gamestop owns Funcoland.
You realize game companies get their money from selling the game to the retailer not the consumer right Every game you see in a store has already been paid for by the retailer and the developer/publisher has already gotten their money from it
