Herf, I know next to nothing about airsoft ARs so I don't want to lowball you, but I'm kind of interested, how much are you looking for cash-wise?

Check out the retail prices and gimme an offer. Since you aren't an AR guy, I'll throw in a high cap and butterfly battery. Don't be afraid to low ball, we can haggle.
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
Its very new, by the way. Fielded once by me and once by Fish.
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
And the mbus set is a cheap china set, not very functional.
[QUOTE=catbarf;39035980]What sort of kneepads are those and what price, and how much are you after for the plate carrier with and without pouches?
I've been looking to get a MOLLE setup for some time and I usually play support gunner so I'm very interested.
Edit: Oh, unless you already sold the plate carrier. In that case, still interested in the kneepads.[/QUOTE]
They're Alta knee pads and elbow, and they're nice. I could sell you the set for $30. I do also have two CB m60 pouches for sale as well. The plate carrier is sold.

I have no idea what to offer. Want to just name a price and we can negotiate. That's a beautiful rifle.
Can you tell me about it? I actually have no idea what it is, I don't know what Oberland Arms is. That the name of the body.. or the internals, manufacturer etc? Upgrades and what not? What kind of battery connector and so on.

King Arms is the manufacturer, Oberland Arms produces higher end civilian AR15's, and this model is the M8. Its got a small tamiya connector wired to the rear. Only upgrade is a concave nub and i believe i put teflon tape around the hop unit where the barrel comes through. Its supposed to have a functioning bolt catch but its gotten jammed and im too inept to fix it. Gearbox has never been opened. The pistol grip is a tango down type, replacing the very uncomfortable standard m4 grip. I'm including the T1 and the mbus set, as it kind of makes the gun whole. The gun runs in the mid 300s new, and the inclusion of a battery and the sights brings it up another $50, so around $400 retail. I'd like to get $300 really. its quite new.
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
actually, I'll do it for $268.22
IT IS SOLID GUN FOR CAPITALIST PIGDOG PEASHOOTER

Am i going to need to be UKARA registered to get non-transparent/bright colours?
[QUOTE=ForceGhost;39152347]Am i going to need to be UKARA registered to get non-transparent/bright colours?[/QUOTE]
Nope.
Essentially there's no difference between what you're allowed to own vs. a UKARA member, it just needs to be 51% high visibility colour (or transparent).
Many UK sites (and UK suppliers) will allow you to have your gun painted in 2-tone (that high visibility colour) before they ship it to you, but a lot of the time the paint job is shoddy, and it does tend to ruin what would otherwise be a very good gun. If I were you, I'd rent from the place for the first couple of times you go - if they're a decent field then they'll have decent guns for new starters. Once you've played 3 games (in a period of 12 months, but no less than 2 months) then you'll be able to send off for your UKARA licence and that's when you go and spend £150+ on an AEG.

So can i buy from the site without having to get it painted or transparent?..
[QUOTE=ForceGhost;39152372]So can i buy from the site without having to get it painted or transparent?..[/QUOTE]
No, you must have it painted before it leaves their depot. Unless you can send them your UKARA number, or have them paint it then they're not going to send it.
I also updated my other post with more info.
So the answer to his question is yes, you do need to be UKARA registered to get a non-transparent/bright coloured gun and be able to use it
[editline]9th January 2013[/editline]
You might want to update your post so you're not saying no then yes in the same post
Not to be able to use it I should point out. It's spread around alot but you only need UKARA to purchase the gun, it's essentially a valid defence under the Violent Crime Reduction Act to own an imitation firearm, that being for a tv/film prop, re-enactment, currently a member of her majesties armed forces or in this case an airsofter.
tl;dr Unless you're over 18 and have the UKARA licence no UK site will send you anything unless it's two tone, I highly agree with Proffink that you should roll with the rental gun for 3 matches rather than invest in a shitty two tone gun then end up having to buy another one after you've got UKARA.

I've used most of these for various things, they all offer two toning services if you're really determined to get one first and the prices are very reasonable, airsoftworld holds alot of pre-toned G&G Combat Machines that are ideal starter weapons and even more so in you're situation.
Would it not be an option to order it with a orange tip overseas and have it shipped here?
Excuse me if i am being retarded..
Under the VCRA act you'd have to have it 51% transparent or a bright colour, it's only the yanks that have to deal with the orange tip in a few states. I'd also reccomend against trying to ship a normal looking RIF in from Honk Kong or something as it'll get grabbed at customs and unless you can pull a UKARA out they'll probably hold it indefinitely or destroy it.
