Under the VCRA act you'd have to have it 51% transparent or a bright colour, it's only the yanks that have to deal with the orange tip in a few states. I'd also reccomend against trying to ship a normal looking RIF in from Honk Kong or something as it'll get grabbed at customs and unless you can pull a UKARA out they'll probably hold it indefinitely or destroy it.
So it's definitely not an option to order it from the US with an orange tip? It HAS to be either 51% Transparent or a Bright colour?
Yep.
Just go for the rental man, you'll get a feel for that gun and how it works (and most others) for a nominal fee and after 3 games you can get whatever gun you feel like!

It's £70 for Rental...
I just feel it's waaay too steep, or is that pretty average price for rental?
My rental was like £60/$90 for the gun, walk on fee, 5000 bbs and copious amounts of food.
Once I got my gun it was only £25 for the day.
But yeah it's fucking expensive
I was thinking of buying a gun that doesn't look too bad.

It would work out a lot cheaper than renting to use one of these until i get my UKARA.

wow. its £30 for a gun to rent for the day, full admission, a face mask, infinite batteries for the rental, and a bag of 5000 bbs where I live in the US
and then its £10 for just the admission once you have everything.

Ghost, I hate to break it to ya but it's simply not worth it until you're willing to drop over £120 on a gun. You really should be renting at first as you'll get to use what should be a very decent AEG. Remember that you're going to need to spend money on BBs, food and on an entry fee, so c.£70 doesn't seem to look so bad for a days worth of fun.
And remember you only have to do this thrice.

Cheers, I can't find the black parts on the site. Am i missing something?
no they dont sell black parts to discourage non-ukara members from having RIFs (realistic imitation firearms)
Guy selling some rossia gear at CC, he wont ship but if its anything that one of you absolutely must have, I'll buy it and ship it at cost.

Do this, and you can be prosecuted under VCRA – Violent Crime Reduction Act - and so can the guys that sold it to you.
Seriously, just don't. I know you're bent on getting a gun (I would be too), but you're making a mistake - you'll pan upwards of £150 if buying a 2-tone and you'll be breaking the law if you buy from these guys. Go skirmish and see if you like it first before you do anything silly, or buy a decent 2-tone and stay at home.
If you really, really must then get a 2-tone and respray/camo tape it when you get UKARA.
This might help.
Yeah I cannot emphasise enough literally the only completely legal and safe action if you're really after a gun is just to get at two tone as Proffink said.
It's only for 3 games, and you can do them in 3 consecutive months (just check your local site is UKARA registered first obviously) and then get whatever gun you want or respray your two toner.
Cheers guys! I'll pick up either a two-tone or 51% transparent.
I think i'll be going for this one:

Also a friend of mine who is a frequent skirmisher said he has this stuff available if i would like it he can do me a real good deal. Any must haves from the list?
- Webbing hip belt
- SAS windproof trousers
- Chest rig
- Poncho
- Arktis Chest rig
- 2x Bolle Goggles
- DPM Nirex covers
- 95 DPM side pouch rucksack
- Water bottle and cover
- Combat shirt
- Army fleece.
Getting a chest rig will be an obvious and great idea. Either one of the old PLCE/ALICE style which there are hundreds of all in DPM or a MOLLE plate carrier and that way you can choose and pick your poiches.
I have a pair of BOLLE goggles they're great considering how cheap they were, obviously you won't need to go overboard with recreating the loadout unless you need to. Everything else is entirely up to you and your tastes.

also you should probably move this to the airsoft questions thread rather than filling up the for sale/wanted thread.
Just so you know, Ghost, more often than not the sites that sell RIFs (so non-2tone guns) will provide a 2-tone service for anything between £5-25. Some are better than others, but many don't list it as a service and you just need to ask.
You by no means need to limit yourself to the selection of pre-fabricated 2-toners.

Would i have any control over where the paint is applied? And the colour?
I'm trying to make it as easy to cover as possible for when skirmishing.
(Oh, Heads up. Went to a small even with a couple of old friends today and had a great time! I'm loving it. I think it's the first sport i've properly enjoyed.)
They always normally colour the reciever or the stock and the handguard.
Try and get it in a classy blue. Airsoft world do a sort of two tone camo scheme which is the lesser of two evils.
I really am not liking how focused you are on dodging the law here. You're really gonna end up screwing yourself in terms of what you end up with.
Think of it this way:
Rental costs are ~70 and come with admission, possibly lunch, bb's, goggles, and a rental gun with magazine(s).
Standard admission is ~25 and probably doesn't come with anything except maybe lunch.
Play 3 times and the difference adds up ~135 - minus the cost of bb's you've used, which means unless you're buying your gun for less than that you're pretty much losing money, and if you're buying anything that cheap its most likely garbage.
If you have like ~500 right now, you'd spend ~210 on rental and playing, + your gear costs (including mags batteries and safety) and you'd probably end up with close to ~200 or ~250 for your gun. Now consider that since you're playing these three times in at least a 3 month period, you'd probably have earned even more cash to put into something nice, and it won't be two-toned or spray painted.
Plus you'll be able to decide what kind of gun is most appropriate for your field, which is a massive benefit.

I'm kinda funny about using rented gear. I wouldn't feel comfortable...
I'm happy to get a two-tone for the first few months while a settle in.
aren't SRC M4's pretty bad though
also if you did get an M4 painted two-tone like that, you could totally just get a RIS, new stock and a nice pistol grip to get rid of the two-tone when you're UKARA'd or whatever
