Unrealistic? Have you played any MoH games? They're far from realistic.
They were better than the new ''Oh I have a holographic sight, thus my gun is much more accurate' stuff.
I think that's fair of them, considering it's a friggin "terrorism simulator" for that level. I couldn't imagine what shit would go down if they had a lvl in their next game where you reenact 9/11. There would be such a shitstorm, the dustbowl would turn up again in America again :D
Yeah, I can imagine Fox News jizzing themselves senseless over a game that has a scene in it in which you shoot Americans in an airport. The media would go crazy.
That would actually be pretty cool to be honest, though I understand it being offensive.
Yeah, it would be fun to at least play, if it wasn't such a social taboo of looking like a terrorist. (talking about this theoretical American terrorism lvl)
If I were in the Air Force and saw that sweet singleplayer mission with the Apache's I'd want to play this game.
Getting it on Steam will always be a good idea.
I killed 2 men in Iraq but they won't let me buy a Game based in Iraq. :colbert:
You'd think 'tough-as-nails' soldiers would be able to handle a video game. Guess not.
I doubt THAT many pilots have died in Afghanistan.
The game is dog anyway so technically they've done you a favour
The game is dog anyway so technically they've done you a favour
I am unsure how you know this but ok
Didn't you know? I know everything. Jokes aside, I played the beta, it was horrible.
Didn't you know? I know everything. Jokes aside, I played the beta, it was horrible.
you do know what beta means dont you...? :downs:
you do know what beta means dont you...? :downs:
The gameplay's still there, not like the basis of the gameplay is going to change. It felt like they took the worst parts of BC2 (A game I love) and MW2 (a game I hate) and stuck them together.
I think they actually did
That's because there's a mission where you massacre a civilian airport for no logical gain (You die shortly after killing all the civilians).
I love how Americas Army 3 circumvented this by making whoever the player's team is the Americans and everyone else the terrorists.
Yeah lol, this made me laugh my ass off. Good old AA
It's funny because soccer moms are deciding what will and won't offend soldiers
It should be barred from being sold on US Military Bases out of respect because of the Title of the game Not because of its content, even then the older MoH Games were fairly good tributes to the men and women who served Now it's just some wash out Copy and Paste Cookiecutter replica of all games in the last 3 years, very undeserving of the name Medal of Honor, not only because it sure as shit doesn't live up to the older games, but to name something so bland after the most prestigious award in the US Armed Forces is kind of insulting
Snip!
Who cares about realism? You should only care about fun, but yeah, I doubt it'll be too good, it'll be just like Bc2
You know fucking what, if you want to make a "fun" game make something like TF2. it's pretty original, creative, artistic, and above all its fun. What you do not do is take something starkly similar to a real world conflict, and then proceed to portray it absolutely unrealistic manner. I hate (with a passion) games that strive to look really realistic, they use somewhat realistic weapons selections, and then the gameplay is not realistic in the slightest.
Anyone who is offended by this, what the fuck. The game is humanizing the other side of the fight and that's OFFENSIVE TO YOU? Might as well just declare them dogs and have them killed because humanizing them is offensive.
Anyone who is offended by this, what the fuck. The game is humanizing the other side of the fight and that's OFFENSIVE TO YOU? Might as well just declare them dogs and
Well, many Americans have basically already done just that. Probably quite common in the military to portray that scenario, because it's hard to kill people if you respect them and view them as just as human as you.
Must be because it looked like a BC2 rip off.
So wait they haven't taken down MW2?
If they change the names of us soldiers to freedom fighters and Taliban to space monkeys do you think they would still ban it? i think not
If I was a soldier currently fighting in the Iraq war, I'd even be offended. But since I'm not it's just a video game.
"I'm a WWII Vet, I'm offended that people want to play a game that's based on real world events!" You don't see any WWII vets saying that. I think every soldier would want people to know what the war is like before enlisting. Also how the fuck did MW2 not get banned for having that useless optional mission where you are a terrorist gunning down people in an airport. That's fucking stupid, it had no point in even being in the game since you died in the end. But "OH, YOU PLAY AS TALIBAN IN THE MULTIPLAYER AND GUN DOWN AMERICAN SOLDIERS!!! SOOOO much worse then gunning down a whole airport of people." :wtc: MoH is even targeted at an age group that has the option of legally joining the army, I don't get this world.
OP is a fucking idiot. Stop complaining because you aren't changing jackshit.
Good job, you're complaining about complaining. :colbert:
I don't see why the new MOH is so controversial. We've been killing American and British soldiers in World War II games for years.
Some of you may know that my dad is part of the Air Force. Now today I was out with my friend and looked at the game section in the Base Exchange, BX for short. which is basically a store... so what we saw there was completely retarded. "Due to the respect we have to those who serve our country, we will not be selling any Medal of Honor games at any Base Exchange" First of all, this 'ban' they are trying to put on it for being offensive or whatever, will NOT work. I'm talking about the world wide protest thingy which isn't world wide, its just a bunch of whiny soccer moms who lost a husband in war (okay this is actually serious but listen...) But I would bet if I was that guy who died, and I was in heaven, I would want to play that game! I was thinking, because the way the Base Exchange works is that we buy from it, and the extra money you used to buy the product goes to making the military base look cleaner, build new buildings, buy new products, ect... so WHY would the Air Force ban this game! AND I KNOW FOR A FACT! that EVERY SINGLE AIRMAN on this base would want to play the game. They wouldn't find it offensive or rude or disrespectful. They probably want to act it out rather than sign up to go try it for real. Since I live in England (The American base is in England) I don't know if the states have banned the game in some stores either. Have any of you came across something like the sign I saw?
American base in England? Is it Lakenheath? I LOVE LAKENHEATH.
I don't get why they think people would be offended... I had family in WW1 and WW2, I played CoD: World at War without any bothers about the family who were in the war, the few who died in the wars
