I tried. FET's lock up at 31v and the supply maxes out at 32v. There wasn't any spectacular smoke or explosions. Just the smell of burning electronics and little bits of paper scattering across my desk.

Oh god that water pump actually looks like something you would find in a fish tank.
I already tried that with an old crt flyback transformer, over 30,000 volt.
Didnt work. :(
