I want back my Gmod 8 yo!
I will admit that many individuals have stated that gmod 9 was better then gmod 10 in various areas such as rp, which certainly makes me disappointed that i did not discover gmod earlier and could receive an opportunity to experience those times. I have appeared to have started playing gmod during the time when V10 came out very recently, and was still using the older source engine version to support itself (at times i still think that the older version was better suited for it then the orange box one). Gmod 10 certainly has more capabilities and precision yet i constantly receive a feeling that during the addition of those capabilities, the original cunning sandbox gmod formula was consequently transformed into something more machine-like and plain. I do support various additions to gmod, such as wiremod, yet i never denied a possibility of them transforming gmod in a possibly unpleasant or significant manner.

ITT everyone was a lot more friendly in gmod 9 and the older versions :frown:.. people would be nice and play without always trying to find a way to make it not fun for other people.. And people would roleplay without having rules telling them to, they just.. would
Wow. Gmod looked ancient back then. I didn't get into Gmod 'till 8.3b.

All I did back then was grab ragdolls with my Physgun and throw them around, and build simple cars.
Whadaya mean nostalgia? some of us never moved on :V. server play was far more epic, especially with nine. Enough add ons for fun, but not enough that everything became a circle jerk of overdoing one thing. and free....
I liked version 8.3b best! Mostly because i sucked at english when i played the previous versions.
I loved gmod 9.Even tho I started playing with the first gmod mods but I was too small to understand it and I got bored and thort...What's the meaning of this?

The only problem with Gmod 10 that I have is all the mass amounts of files I have to download to get into a server, only to get there and find out that I'm seeing a bunch of people building with error signs. So I have to go back and review that I got all the right mods and put them in all the right places and make sure I connected them to their SVN and updated them, etc. But once I get in a server with all the right models I can have a blast. Considering, that is, that my game doesn't decide to crash.

I miss the simplicity of this mod, GMOD 10 had some perks RP is better, but it still has more minges then GMOD 7-9 RP with Craigtown? i think it was. Fun times.

I've been in GMOD since version 6 (well at least on my older brother's account). At first I made thruster cars and shacks, then moved onto building thruster planes by version 8. Shortly after the release of version 9, I quit for a while. Things have changed dramatically in GMOD since then, now it's all about PHX, Wire, Expression 2 (the new generation of Wire?), and these weird stools all over.
