Why would you want to render something like this in realtime? I'm confused of why that's almost advertised as a selling point. Why not just use proper animation software like max or maya?
I just saw an Imperial Guard military parade.
Fuck. Yes.
For a fan made work I was really impressed. I have the same criticisms about the sound design and voice acting. That can polished up later when the full move is released. Though I had some issues with the directing of the overall opening scene. I didn't like the scene of the fat man in the blue coat sitting down just waggling his foot. It felt a bit irrelevant because they kill him at the very end. And my next gripe is with the scene of the Imperial Fists marching in a celebration parade when the Space Marine sitting down is told that the accused heretic has been captured. It appears then disappears quickly without any introduction into who this character is (ifhe is Vorn Hagan, or some other lore important Imperial Fist that I'm not aware of it still felt akward) but I will admit because we don't have the rest of the movie I can't tell how well that scene in particular will fit into the rest of the movie.
I don't think he's Imperial Fist because the uniform is a different color and styling.
I don't think he's Imperial Fist because the uniform is a different color and styling.
like someone said earlier, he's not a Space Marine at all which IMO should be pretty clear because his suit lacks, among other things, the huge round shoulder guards of that all Marine armor comes with
he's the titular Lord Inquisitor and wears human-sized power armor that high-ranking inquisition officials have access to
The dude sitting down is a Inquisitor.

I personally find it interesting purely from the tech-demo perspective.
It wasn't too long ago that something like this would have to sit and render for literal hours, if not days, to get to this quality.
Now you can literally sit down at your decently beefy computer and just hit "Play Scene", and watch it unfold. Don't like something? Hit Pause, make a change, scrub back, hit "Play Scene" again - and immediately be able to watch with the changes made.
I can see the same thing being a good reason for the artists to want to render in real-time as well.
As to why they advertise it... I can't think of anything other than the artists think it's too fucking cool of a fact not to advertise it.
They should get voice actors from TTS
and then it turns into a very well rendered comedy epic :v:
you know the fat guy deserves to die because you can see @3:00 that he's a space marine collector
I'm guessing that being an Anchorite means that the old man was following a religion other than the Imperial Creed and/or Chaos?
