This looks really awesome man, I cant get enough of these urban environment criminal/swat based shooters.
I know how you feel with the coop, but it is just singleplayer at least for the foreseeable future. I don't wanna make any promises on something I probably can't deliver. It's our first game and we gotta reign in the scope quite a bit so we agreed to hopefully create some really tight singleplayer gameplay. That was a difficult decision though.
The gameplay itself already looks great so I can't wait until you guys smooth out the animations. Then it'll really come together.
Hey, guys--I'm the other main dev on BLISTER. We're a small team and there's a lot of work still to do on the AI system, how they interact with the player and your team as they carry out their plan.
As a result this sort of stuff will look janky for a while but we're working on getting a public, playable demo out so you can break it as much as possible and tell us how crappy it is so that we can fix it.
Just about everything you see in the trailer is subject to new improvements over the coming months as we replace all our R&D with the final systems, models and animations.
We've got a public Trello board if you want to look at our progress. It's sparse in some areas but it's worth a look if you're interested in what we're up to.

Looks good, might want to work on the animations before doing trailers though, they look really unnatural though that might just be me.
damn this looks awesome. i love the look of the gunplay
"Defend the Crown"
with a FRENCH rifle

Hey, we Brits have been taking credit for European stuff for centuries. Why stop now?

And German guns, American guns, isreali guns
If you need any help, I'm available.
After a lot of frustration I've actually got Blender-to-UE4 to work rather nicely
Thanks!
Could be very well needed assistance.
You can't have G3-based weapons without that slap
The weapon handling in the trailer looks pretty awesome; Not welded to the centre of your screen, but not waggling all over the place like INS or RO
Looking forward to seeing how this progresses, just please don't be another Takedown
I asked to work on the animations because I saw gameplay footage where the MP5 had a reload animation where the bolt was racked in the wrong way.
The UMP-45 though has a bolt-catch and release, but the H&K-slap is just more fun to witness.

Hey!
The British Army already uses a rifle that was unfucked by the Germans, so at this point it's rather moot to complain about the weapons nationality :v:
Glad you guys finally made it. Glad I got to help even in the small way I did.

Big ups to this top man right here! He paid for our greenlight pass which I actually couldn't afford. Without him we wouldn't be on it at all
Getting some serious F.E.A.R. type vibes from the trailer.. Hard to disapprove of environmental carnage.
Best of luck to you and your team!

actually the L85 still fucking sucks. not even the germans could unfuck it

Its still way better than it was.
Looking good.
I have a few questions (if these haven't been answered already):
1) How big is the team working on this game?
2) When did you guys start development on BLISTER?
3) Why the name BLISTER?
4) Do you have a goal date you guys would like to finish it by?
The project looks quite spectacular and it would interesting to see how it turns out.
Thanks for the questions!
1) At the moment it's largely just me and my brother doing almost everything. There's a smattering of a few others who's done really nice work (Like Sunday_Roast who posted earlier) for bits and bobs so far. I won't be staying this way for long though.
2)I started it about 1.5 years ago when I wanted to learn blueprints, and have a place to make the weapons models I was making be in a game. It's come a long way since then.
3)Dunno man we thought it sounded cool.
4)We're aiming for like mid to late next year for a release date.
-snip-
trailer looks good actually
So is this a British Empire that never went through a civil war?
Interesting concept!
Are you basing some maps off of actual locations? You should add a few more historical places like York, Blackpool or Newcastle for example.

Better to just do maps that fit the gameplay. Too realistic makes it hard to construct scenarios and aiming for realism but not matching it fully will end up with people nitpicking the shit out of it in a negative fashion.

Exactly, our focus is fully on gameplay and level design but we are not shying away from historical references either. We are planning one level set in Porton Down, if anyone knows their British history this is the top secret facility where CS gas was first invented, used worldwide by police units. It's still in operation today, the BBC published an interesting article on research at Porton Down recently.
I selected my favourite quote from the article below:
"They are, for example, working with Birmingham University on a device that can detect tiny fluctuations in gravity. The hope is that this will, in the future, enable them to see through walls and deep underground."
wuuuuuuut is this scifi shit
Holy shit, this is pretty good.
Got game to hype for.
