easymode jk. im going to test your method
:bang: I've been trying for an hour to solve mine

Is that a gigaminx? tetraminx? I'm not well versed in the "minx" series. [editline]03:46PM[/editline] nevermind it's a petaminx
:science: *rates useful*
I got the one from disney world. It has disney characters on it, so you have to have them all right side up, and the two red/pink sides look almost the same color. [editline]01:53PM[/editline] Oh, and at my school there's this kid, he was kinda the stupid kid. He was like the dumb kid from ed edd n eddy. One day he was doing a project on the rubix cube and did finished it like 2 minutes. We all made fun of him because he pretty much just went "oh hey btw im not dumb lol" He used to scramble the rubix cube up before the bell rang, and would challenge himself to get to his locker and to class while doing the rubix cube in one hand. He would use a different hand each time too. And we had 7 classes in a day.
http://www.wrongway.org/cube/solve.html
I love you
Jallen, how come you are so awesome?
Dude, thanks :buddy: Also, I swear I'm not WellHelloThere. He's bumped a lot of my threads but I swear it's not me.
I learnt to do a rubiks cube 3 months ago. Really awesome thing to learn
I love these. My fastest time solving one was 1 minute 22 seconds. :buddy:
I love these. My fastest time solving one was 1 minute 22 seconds. :buddy:
That's about where I am. I got lucky on one and did it in 57 seconds once, but I average between 1:20 and 1:40
I remember I could only solve half of a Rubik's cube easily 5 years ago. Since then I haven't really touched one. This guide can probably help me now.
Quality post, OP.
Atleast that guy bumped a good thread.
Atleast that guy bumped a good thread.
He's been bumping a few of my threads :/ Thanks though.
This is like the greatest time killer.
I can solve a rubik's cube blind folded with my arms behind my back. Guides are for the weak. [editline]11:49PM[/editline]

Pfft.
Remove the stickers, reapply. Solved.
Yay for me teaching Jallen how to cube faster, way back then.
My brother can solve them. His record for the 3x3x3 is about 11 or 12 seconds or something, and he used to hold the North American average record for the 2x2x2. I don't know how to solve them, though. I solved a 2x2x2 by accident a few times, but that's about it.
is it bad if I learned intuitive f2l and all the plls and olls also, i can solve any nxnxn cube as long as time is out of concern
I can do it in one minute, my dad taught me how and I used logic and practice to improve my skill.

Easy, it's already done.
Every time I buy a cube, it's covered in cheap stickers and is useless after a month or so. They never turn fast enough for me either :argh:
Every time I buy a cube, it's covered in cheap stickers and is useless after a month or so. They never turn fast enough for me either :argh:
Get silicon lubricant for fitting pieces of plastic pipe together, open the cube (search it on youtube), apply a pea sized amount to centre, put pieces back together, spin cube like mad to work silicon in. Don't use WD40 or any oil based lubricant because that will damage the cube.
I like these better
I like these better
Looks easy enough to solve.
This guy is so vague in some parts... you don't even know which face you're supposed to be on in the end parts and I just ended up with a fucked up cube. Most of the parts are described really well, but some of them just totally let you down. I'm talking about the part where it talks about a white face being orange, the fact that the algorithm should be "URUiLiURiUiL", and how the last steps don't even tell you what face you should have your cube as the front. I've always wanted to solve a Rubik's cube since I was little >_>
Has anyone learned it yet?
I'm talking about the part where it talks about a white face being orange
In the previous step you are dealing with an edge piece for the blue cross lining up with the yellow side. If you turn to the white face and that edge piece is a blue/orange then you do that step (with the white face at the front, obviously).
and how the last steps don't even tell you what face you should have your cube as the front.
Yes they do. You shouldn't rotate the cube unless I say so. Since the step before in which you position the corner pieces using URUiLiUiRiUiL, your cube should be facing the correct direction when you have finished that step and is ready to do the final steps to rotate those pieces correctly.
Ahh the other steps make sense now but the final steps are still just one giant mess to me. You're gonna need to explain them a bit better. You'd save some people a lot of hours and frustration =]
