Of course there are, although they don't have much influence on the world. Most people would be able to tell you the differences between Italian and French culture, but I doubt most people would know the differences between say Sudanese and Ethiopian culture.

At my high school, we had a "Cultural Week" where every day a different ethnic group decorated the common area and served food at lunch. On the African day... I shit you not, they served fried chicken and kool-aid, among other things. Nobody seemed to notice but me.
