There was always threads about these topics for a couple of years on Facepunch. I don't see what's so annoying about them, since you can ignore them all basically.
Noones really forcing you to open the threads besides your own curiosity.

It's not "killing" GD, it's just a thread, and while there are quite a few, as long as it's not so many that you can't see a single other thread, I don't think it's really a problem.
It's called "General Discussion" for a reason.
Here, I marked off some sympathy threads for you. I even made it a distinct color in case you are a bit slow (hard to tell at this point). Also, I put yours in there too. Just by looking at titles, it's easy to tell which threads to avoid.

I'm sure the mods will deal with it when it gets to that point, but for now, as long as it's only a few threads, it's not going to destroy the GD.

Either way of how easy it is to identify them, it is still unnecessary for all of this shit to be in GD.

i wake up to find these terrible threads, each one of them mocking me, i mean how dare they post these terrible things in my forum, i've been here for less than a month and have posting over 100 times.
I personally don't care about sympathy threads. Some of them are good reads, some are hilarious with the OP at fault and there are bad ones. It's just a bunch of words. Don't read it if you don't like it. It's that fucking simple.

When something bad happens to you and your friends/family are not around to help you and the only way to talk to people is via the internet, I will post this thread.
It doesn't matter how well you can deal with pain or whatever the fuck, everyone goes through something that they are not prepared for and have to talk about it with someone. Some choose people they know IRL, others choose people online.

I have never, nor will I ever make a thread bitching about my day.
In addition, when I get pissed or unhappy I usually just play HL2 and shoot Combine all day long.
