• How long does it take for you to read a book?

It depends how I distribute my time. I'm damn fast at reading, and when I actually dedicate some of my time to reading it goes like fucking lightning, however I usually devote just my spare, dead time to reading, it draws the book out for longer, but it's nice and gives you something to do.
It also depends on how old the book is, if it uses terms from Pre 20th century then it usually takes me another thirty minutes.
I read the entire harry potter series in 2 weeks. It's all up to how fast you read, and how much the books interest you.
Once when I was on vacation, I decided to read a whole Harry Potter book (with 924 pages) and so I did. In four days. God was I nerdy.
150 pages 30 mins. I read shit fast and is usually ahead of everyone in the class if we are reading something together.
I'm a fast reader, but when I read a book, I put it off and don't come back to it for a few weeks, if not months.
The average 300 page novel that actually interests me takes between 3-4 hours to read through, with no other commitments getting in the way.
I once read like 5 books in 3 minutes. Granted they were picture books, but I still read them pretty fast. Under the dome took me like 5 days.
I read about 150 pages an hour if I'm really into the book.
i hate being able to read so fast, I'm always looking for new books and my shitty school doesnt have a library :saddowns:
For some reason, I haven't gotten into any novels lately, but I am a pretty fast reader. When I have time, I can finish a 600 page book in a day.
bull
If I enjoy a book, really fast. If I'm forced to read a book for school, than fairly slow, but still faster than everyone else.
I like to take my time reading a book, I mean I read fast, but I will wait a day, then continue reading.
A few days until I started Crime and Punishment, haven't read a book in months now.
Though I am an extremely fast reader, I also have a hard time paying attention to books and get distracted easily by things I would rather be doing, like being on the internet.
I read "The Da Vinci Code" (583pgs pocket book) in about 12h a couple of summers ago. I sat the whole day reading it from cover to cover. It really sucked me in o_O Then more recently I read "The Lost Symbol" in about 2 weeks on my[IMG_thumb]http://eiyad.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/k810i.jpg[/IMG_thumb] using an application. I actually recommend reading books on your phone/other portable media device it works really well and is much more flexible than a big book :)
I used to read all the time, and I still love it, but I haven't had time, and prefered to play on my computer and sleep over reading in bed or in class
I can read fairly fast but I like to savor the novel. It takes me months to get through some that are maybe, 300 pages, but if I read it as fast as I could in one sitting I could probably finish it in a few hours. I think the whole point of a novel is to enjoy it, so that's what I do.
Finished the whole lord of the rings trilogy in about 2 days, read all 7 harry potter books in about 4 and a half days, finished all 12 Cirque du freak books in about 26 hours. Also finished all of the Hitchhikers Guide books in a little under 3 days. Go figure.

It normally takes me between one day and 2-3 weeks depending on the length of the book.
I read the entire harry potter series in 2 weeks. It's all up to how fast you read, and how much the books interest you.
1 week, bitch
During school, I go through a 300-500 page book in a week. During breaks, I go through a 300-500 page book in a month.
ermm... Usually I can read the first 4 Harry Potter Books in a day and the last 3 in a weekend. It depends if I am tired... And if I'm worrying about something.
I read through the latest volume of Ex Machina in an hour or two. Of course that's just a graphic novel, but I don't read much else unless it's for schoolwork.
I feel like the only one here that doesn't read books...Mainly I just don't have the time.
1 day to read a full book. A novel, about 2 days if I have the time.
I had IT on my shelf for quite a few years, having read a few chapters and just wasn't into it. One day I decided to get the damn book out of the way and started reading, needless to say, I finished that 1200+ page book in less than a week. If it's a good book that I'm really into, I can chew 200+ pages a day (reading for 2 hours or so). Once when I was reading an extremely long series of books (that as of yet haven't been finished, after 20+ books too I think, god when is he going to end this thing), I got into it more than any other book. I hadn't ever read something so massive (in scope of the story) that I was blowing through 800+ page books in a matter of 2-3 days. I'm a very quick reader compared to everyone else I know, though I've always trained myself to comprehend what I'm reading, reading fast and not actually understanding what your reading is something I try very much to avoid. Though I've tried to read slow, I end up speeding up once I get into it, it's just a habit of mine I guess.
I read facepunch, Full of useless facts that nobody gives a shit about...
I can read a 300 page book in a day.
