Holy shit you guys are slow, I recently read a 1200 page book in about 2 days.
-snip-
Depends on the book. I have an Average reading speed of 150 page an hour, that's if i'm reading quickly. a 300-400 page book takes me about two and a half hour to finish.
it takes me a day to read just one page
If I really like the book it usually takes only a few days to a week, but if I don't really care for it or only read it 'cause I have nothing else it can take months.
It totally depends on my interest in the book, usually I don't have much time to read unfortunately, if I'm not out with my friends/girlfriend, I'll be playing a game, or on the interwebs or something, so usually if I am reading a book, I'll read for an hour or so before I go to sleep, on the other hand, if I get very interested, I will read much more in the day. So for me the time it takes for me to read is variable, usually between a week, to a month for an averaged sized book.
Depends on the book. A small good book takes a day. Large good books a week. Boring books usually take a few weeks/months.
I read a 500 something page book in 2 days. It's a very good book.
I read 600 hundred pages in 4 hours. When I was in fourth grade. Edit: Well, I read The Hobbit twice because it was so good, so I don't know if it counts.
It can take me a day to a week to read a book. I think I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in a day.
I read 600 hundred pages in 4 hours. When I was in fourth grade.
Huh. I don't know why, but I feel that either you've got as many brain synapses as a beach has grains of sand, or you're lying.
Huh. I don't know why, but I feel that either you've got as many brain synapses as a beach has grains of sand, or you're lying.
600 pages of pictures.
If it's a bad book, or if I'm not interested, I can 1000 pages or more in 2 to 4 hours. If it's a good book and I'm interested, I usually finish the book within an hour. I'm a really fast reader.
Huh. I don't know why, but I feel that either you've got as many brain synapses as a beach has grains of sand, or you're lying.
I agree, although I used to read 1 Deltora Quest book a day in grade 4. I didn't have anything to do besides read though. Nowadays, I read a 700 page book in one day. I was really into it. And I read the Deathly Hallows in one and a half. Started reading at 11 in the morning, read til 2 the next.
Huh. I don't know why, but I feel that either you've got as many brain synapses as a beach has grains of sand, or you're lying.
Well, I dunno, The Hobbit is about 300 pages, and the second time is sorta skimmed it to the big important scenes, but skimming still counts as reading, right?
Well, I dunno, The Hobbit is about 300 pages, and the second time is sorta skimmed it to the big important scenes, but skimming still counts as reading, right?
No. I've skimmed things, and it's gotten me into quite a bit of trouble.
I'm pretty fast yo.
I don't read books because i'm smart.
I also read it really late at night. If you like a book but have no time to finish it, read it late at night. Ne distractions. There was only 1 light on in my entire house, which was my desk lamp. Normally I would have pissed my pants if it was so dark when I was 9, but the book sucked me in so much that I was too focused on the book that I didn't even notice. I dunno what happened, around the middle of the book, it was like I didn't notice anything from the real world and sort of created a world of my own in my head. Very awesome.
Well, I read all 7 Harry Potter books in a week, 3 times.
No. I've skimmed things, and it's gotten me into quite a bit of trouble.
Fine, jeez. :colbert:
I read the green harry potter book in less than six hours. the big one
I read about 950 words per minute. I got sick and tired of having nothing to read after finishing books really quickly so I just download them onto my old iPod now and read them on its tiny screen.
I read a 500 page book in about a week; I don't really care to spend an entire day reading.
i read over 9000 books in a day i am epic :smug:
I lose interest very fast when reading a book nowadays, I use to be able to read a shitload before. I just stop reading and never read a book again for a while.
I finished Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons in 2 days.
Probably 100+ pages an hour if I'm enjoying reading. When I sit down to read it'll take me about ten minutes to read like 5 pages because I'm usually not up to speed with it, but as I get into it I hasten.
in b4 OVER 9000
I read about a 350-page book a week, or so. I only read at school.
