There are some books where I enjoy rereading a page or two before actually continuing on with the book. It helps the text sink in, and allows me to fully appreciate the story. Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino is a perfect example. Each page is beautiful, and I could read the same 50 lines over and over again.
I shit through Ender's Game in 3 hours
It varies, if I'm really into a book with 300+ pages it would take a month to finish.
Took me around 3 weeks to read all the LOTR books. I like reading.
I read pretty quickly, I guess. Nothing special though. It probably took me longest to read Feersum Endjinn by Iain M. Banks, but that's because half the fucking book is written in phonetics. To give you an idea of how much of a bitch phonetics are to read, have this post re-written in my rough approximation of phonetics: Ai reed prity kwikly, ai ges. Nuthing speshul tho. It probably tuk me longest to reed Feersum Endjinn by Iain M. Banks, but thats becus half the fuking buk is writen in fonetiks. Tu giv u an aidia ov how much of a bitch fonetics arr tu reed, hav this post re-writen in fonetics:
If it's Manga then I tend to not read too much, I usually bookmark halfway through the chapter.

I should know, I've read heaps. For a novel, I usually read at 1.5 minutes per page. Faster if I'm not really paying attention. I'll read a few pages without taking anything in and will have to reread when I realise I can't remember what's been going on for the last 2 pages.
If one knows how to read, anyone should manage to finish off a reasonably big book in a day.
