Stupid people get massive coverage, that's just how it happens But I've seen people here (I don't recall you specifically ever doing this) quoting some of the stupid shit that NRA members say, like "let's arm every teacher" and use these stupid people to basically shut down the pro-gun side of the argument.
I feel like that is a different situation entirely though just because of how state and federal legislation works versus associations like the NRA. If the head of the NRA, or a board member of the NRA, comes out and says something silly then I think making fun of the NRA itself is open season because one of their leading members is advocating a silly position. I do think though that it would be unfair to bring down any pro-gun argument by pointing out unrelated crazies. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention how disingenuous some of the gun control posters on these forums can be from time to time even if they mean well and otherwise present their arguments well. I'd generally consider myself pro-gun but for some reason I come out swinging for both sides.
"Wow, look at these people, they don't know what guns are or how they work, gun control debate DONE" That's not how it works.
Yeah, it's done for him, or at least it should be (But it won't, California has a record of producing super persistent predators). Politicians live, eat and breathe lies and misinformation, but when they use it as a tool to ban something they deserve every bit of humiliation and ridicule they get. Besides, all California has managed to do is create an unworkable mess you can trace back all the way to the 1999-2000 SKS ban. There are probably thousands of people in California who own or have made an illegal weapon without realizing it because the laws there are so twisted and idiotic as to be unintelligible at best and vague enough to be easily manipulated against someone at worst. Can't trust Californian politicians one bit, all they seem to do is make a huge mess that ends up spilling everywhere. Glad I jumped ship in 2005 to friendlier ground.
it makes me sad that everyone either thinks you're an anti-gun liberal nanny who knows nothing about guns and is scared shitless by the sight of one or you're a pro-gun hick bible south redneck who "wants to keep white in the white house."
[editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] It proves that some of the prominent anti-gun advocates don't have the damndest what they're banning That's why shit like "assault weapons" are getting banned, even though they're just polymer (or sometimes just black) versions of "hunting rifles", demonized for their baby slaying ~PISTOL GRIP~ (shock awe)
Since when does MSNBC attack anti-gun democrats?
Since when does MSNBC attack anti-gun democrats?
Since Tucker Carlson had a show there. It failed after three seasons of poor ratings.
