Whilst most everything is better today, in some situations it can be a bad thing that most people carry a mobile phone at all times and have almost constant access to the internet. It's changed the way we socialize drastically.
Today everything is better then it was before.
Except grammar! :eng101:
I still remember how cheap stuff was back then, 1 licorice was like 5 cents, nowadays it's around 60-80cents and those are the cheap ones
is it just me or were people generally more attractive back then. Or maybe just at that 7-11
Is it just me or does the guy filming sound like the dude from Clerks.
I'd totally stick my face in that French chick's 80s bush.
why can't everyone be this friendly nowadays :(
All the people that work at the Cumberland Farms next to me work are like this, super friendly and funny. However the customers are all rednecks [editline]3rd June 2013[/editline]
I'd totally stick my face in that French chick's 80s bush.
more like mid-40's bush now
I wonder where all those people are today
I wonder where all those people are today
They moved to Portland and still wear the same clothes
I wonder where all those people are today
i think it's safe to say one atleast one of the people in this video have died.
People tend to be this friendly when drunk. If you go to a kebab shop at 3am, everyone is this friendly, the staff included.
When in reality the murder rate in 1987 in America was way higher than it is today.
i dont usually respond to ratings in threads, but i see i have a disagree rating
is it just me or were people generally more attractive back then. Or maybe just at that 7-11
Some places have severely attractive people, it seems to be correlated with income, I wonder why...
Some places have severely attractive people, it seems to be correlated with income, I wonder why...
That's because money is naturally a good exfoliant.
Nowadays the guy with the camera would come off as a sarcastic prick. I wanna go back to those times.
They moved to Portland and still wear the same clothes
The French lady still goes to that 7/11 and back to France for toothpaste. Still holding the rear view mirror too.
It seems like such a nicer, simpler time.
Judging from a small bit of footage at a 7/11 near disney world? Nothing changes that much except the culture, the 80s was not really a simpler time. Nothing is ever a simpler time. Every decade has it's own problems and people yearning for the olden days.
It seems like such a nicer, simpler time.
honestly i'm sure if you went into the right 7-11 with the right people it'd be fine.
I don't understand why everyone is yearning for a certain time period just because a couple of goobers went into a gas station and met some nice people.
I don't understand why everyone is yearning for a certain time period just because a couple of goobers went into a gas station and met some nice people.
~70% of Facepunch's demographics was born in the 90s too :v:

You had less information and communication available to you, thus making things "simpler"
huh, i live like an hour/45 minutes away from Disney World wonder if this 7-11 is still around...
huh, i live like an hour/45 minutes away from Disney World wonder if this 7-11 is still around...
Facepunch Disney world 7-11 meet up
Facepunch Disney world 7-11 meet up
see u there pal
I love seeing things like this. My parents have a few videos of their various exploits in the 80's and early 90's, and there is something so interesting about those times. For some reason the sun seemed brighter back then, and there was an overall warm feeling to the videos. It just seemed much nicer back then overall, despite the lack of some of our recent advances.
Holy shit guys it's just some guys going around acting friendly and you guys are thinking it's heaven or something. I've been in 7-11s at 2 in the morning and even nowadays it's pretty easy to be friendly like this and not have shit to deal with.
~70% of Facepunch's demographics was born in the 90s too :v:
And the other 30% was born in the 00s
I wish I was old enough to remember the 80's. Not even old enough to remember the Challenger exploding even though I was watching it... apparently Oingo Boingo, the Post Modernistic fashion from the 80s was like something out of Beetelgeuse. You think that's just a fictional art style for that movie? OH NO
