they took note of derpy's popularity early on and started making that a regular thing, but they aren't making things darker to please the fanbase. From what I've noticed the new season has bigger references (like the entire ending sequence to star wars and the new episode being based entirely around reading indiana jones.

When the next video comes around, I'll try and be the one to post it. these things are 2 months in between, I think that'll be a big enough break from this thread existing. I don't think much else will come out of the woodworks, most people wouldn't want to post any kind of MLP thread because of the backlash, so if something does pop up I'd bet it's something worthwhile.
I feel sorry for the people who are so devastated by the existence of an MLP thread anywhere on their sacred facepunch. this is actually an argument I've heard a lot (from a few people who've actively bitched about this thread and others, even), and to a point I agree it would be better to have a thread so they can concentrate everything there instead of occasionally leaking into random threads around the forum. However, it means having a thread with a big red bullseye on it that will need constant babysitting.
Given how this thread has gone, it's been civil to a point but it shows that people still find their way to it just to be aggressive about how much they hate it, despite not being clearly named. It will be nothing but a drama fest like last year, nomatter how civil the regulars can be.

It varies from site to site, especially on forums, it usually depends on the admin's/mod's opinions on the matter. Facepunch usually leans more to the side of "Grrr, all ponies can die in a fire".
But, this thread was so much different and I really hope we can repeat this for every thread for the ".MOV" videos, we had our fun and got a good group to boot. Threads like these give us proof that we're not all silly neck-beards, hell, some more threads like this and maybe some of the hate will die down around here. It was a honor posting with you guys, see you in the Steam Group.
Also, gonna get Dai something for being the coolest moderator on FP.
