Theres something about shooting stars :D, look awesome
I did my best to get some photos, but getting a little spark of light in the middle of the night is tough. Maxing out exposure kills quality. Here's what I managed to get though:

I'll look up in the sky tonight, it's a clear night too and the moon isn't very high.

Not as awesome as seeing a small one hitting earth 100 meters in front of you :D (which happened to my grandfather while he was driving on a road through the forest some years ago)
lol, best ive seen were ages ago when i was like 12 or something, i woke up at 4am randomly, looked out the window and on the horizon a huge ball broke up into loads of shooting stars, its an image in my head i will never forget, it was awesomeeeeee
I was smoking weed with some friends on a grass field in Northern Italy and I saw like 10.
For those in the UK, this may apply to other countries or whatever :D, if you look NE and up a bit, thats where you will see all the action, and also if you look around east and see a bright dot, thats Jupiter :D, looks pretty cool through a telescope, you can see the moons
This made me think of something. If we flew one light year away from the earth and then it exploded, we wouldn't see it explode for a whole year.
Something about the meteor light made me think of it.
I watched it with my friends last night, we saw an amazing one that made all of us go "HOLY SHIT!" It had a brilliant orange-yellow (sodium) color with a little bit of violet (calcium) or blue (iron), I couldn't tell. The trail stayed visible for more than a second, a streak across the black sky. I saw 5 others, even with only watching the sky intently for about an hour. The pavement was hard and slightly uncomfortable to lay on in the parking lot, but it was the only place without bright lights. If the moon wasn't out and people turned off their lights, we probably could've seen 50 or more.
Yeh, there certainly spectacular :D

If the sun would suddenly go out you wouldn't know for 8 minutes.
I have big windows around most of my room so I can see it while looking at this thread :v:

Yeah I saw one like that too. Maybe it was the same. Looking at the stars always makes you so philosophical...
lol, yeh, someone accidently hit the light switch on the sun
Wales is verry cloudy! STOP FEEDING SHEEP HELIUM! :(
