Those 5.45 mags going for $33 is bullshit. CDNN sports sells them for $15

EDIT: Also, what do you guys think of AK Operators Union? Guy seems to have a shit ton of videos on nothing but civilian AKs, is his information any good?
I would trust him not because of his Russian accent, but because he has put 5000+ rounds through more than a dozen AK type rifles in many different types of tests and situations. If anyone would understand what makes a good AK and what to look for, and understanding the intricacies of the platform, it would be him.

Figured as much. I also gather that he's willing to call manufacturers out on bad products.
Any particular reason you're looking for a 1:7 twist rate? You understand that you can stabilize a wider range of bullet weights with a 1:8 barrel, right?

What if you need something you can CC? Do you know any other handguns that run in the $100 range?
I do not however If my options are A. trust my life to a CC'd hipoint or B. stay the fuck home. I'll pick option B. maybe you've had better luck with hipoints but the one's I've seen are terrible jam machines that can't hit the broadside of a barn from inside the barn maybe that's due to maintenance but the fact remains

Don't mix your hobbies. Don't cross the streams.
Much like the historic antique mosin that someone painted blue and put a rainbow dash sticker on:
Say what you will about a vapid lack of taste, it'll still kill you just as dead and be twice as humiliating.
Shit like that will be extremely embarrassing and tough to justify in court if you ever have to kill someone in self defense too.
Imagine trying to explain to a judge, a lawyer, and a jury, why you have a hentai-doujin sticker on the gun you killed a person with.
where do you get "paratrooper" for alu g3 mags?
they were used because they are cheaper, lighter, and more resistant to the elements than the steel ones. they have nothing to do with fallschirmjäger in german service or fallskjermjegere in norwegian service (we never used steel mags to begin with either)
I just remember someone referring to them as such awhile back. Going by your information, that was a mistake.
Last time I believe an American gun-owner :v:

It could be worse. It could say something along the lines of 'This switch for death' or some stupid thing like that I see people engrave on their ARs.

Or worse yet, load their carry gun with R.I.P.

Yea but you'll have George Zimmerman levels of notoriety, but for being a hentai wielding shitlord.

Currently, I live in Kansas. The laws here a much more lax compared to Jersey.
From what I managed to research and asked at the gun show. Pretty much you can buy a firearm (that isn't an SBR/SBS and not select-fire/full automatic) so long as you're the age of 18, have some form of gov't issued ID (in my case, my military ID), and a background check. Handguns require the buyer to be 21 years of age. If you're moving to a different state, rifles and shotguns wouldn't be much of a hassle. However, handguns would require the the owner to transfer their FFL or something iirc.
So gents I'm looking at moving out of the Fascist state of NY. Vermont has pretty good (as in permissive) gun laws correct?
Good news from Norway;
The S&W M&P15-22 is has been deemed legal and we can now apply to buy guns for use in benchrest F-class (without having to use other "slots" for guns)
Still, we have a fucking retarded system where each model of semi-auto rifle and shooting sport has to be approved before you can buy guns for that particular sport.

Permitless open and CC, so yea.
So I was thinking of building a 2nd AR and was wanting to get this upper.. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/952052/colt-ar-15-pistol-upper-receiver-assembly-556x45mm-nato-145-barrel-flip-up-rear-sight
Thing is, it's a 14.5 inch barrel.. is that including the flash hider? Will having the flash hider on make it 16inch+ legal?
No, the barrel needs to be. Note it calls it a pistol upper.
No, the barrel needs to be. Note it calls it a pistol upper.
No, if you take a flash hider that makes the barrel 16 inches with it attached, and permanently attach it to the barrel (IE welding), then it's legal to be on a rifle lower.
But the one Episode linked is only 14.5 so it needs to be on a pistol lower.
What Cyke said.

NVM, found what I was looking for. May not be Colt but I can live.

The shotguns are all range toys. I'm not going to shoot anyone with them.
There is an explicit reason why I conceal carry Glocks without modifications or any sort of markings on them. And it's because of what you described.
And I think the rainbow dash K98 is hardly a comparison. I'm not ruining a piece of history by taking a rattle can of paint to it. I'm putting vinyl stickers onto plastic furniture of non-collector contempary production guns. You can take them off with your finger nail and an alcohol wipe. I purposely use vinyl stickers because they're temporary and I can take them off if I sell it (which I won't do anyway) or get sick of seeing them. It ain't the same as letting baby blue spray paint soak into a wood stock or spraying chrome onto the action.
If you guys want I can run my Winchester M1 Carbine stock through the laser cutter and put some anime girls on it. So calm your tits.
From what I remember, the 5 AKs to the left of the AMDs are WASRs. 2 of them I recall to be 7.62x39 and 2 are 5.45x39, one of them is chambered in 5.56/.223. Both the AMDs are in 7.62x39.
I don't know who told you that but they couldn't be more dead wrong if they tried lmao.
Three of them are M70AB2s which alone invalidates the rest.
