Well it was not the correct tool because I needed a flashlight. I borrowed one from a neighbor afterwords alittle sun optics or something.... I swear I did a update post....
After I got the light I nailed 2.
I have a borrowed can but still don't like shooting it as I can't send a entire mag down range compared to a this .22 as I can just pull the trigger over and over and get em.
I roughly protect them. I ain't no Jesus by any means.
Why cant you send an entire mag down range with a can? Why do you need to?
This draws me back to my statement that you suck at your job.
You also realize thay "borrowing" and NFA item is a felony right?
Fuck y'all are a bunch of goobs.
yeah wanting to prevent unnecessary suffering surely is pure goobery ay
Alright y'all can go back to using a torque wrench as a breaker bar, y'all are obviously too smart for me.

Do you use a screw driver for taking the lug nuts off your tires? I only ask since you clearly have no idea what tool to use for what job.
If you have to dump a mag to kill something, you need to practice more or quit your job. Dont give me the excuse that theyre moving either. Ive slain many hogs that were moving and I didnt need to dump an entire mag to do it.

So I use a bow with fieldtips?
I should use a bow tonight instead it might be so quiet I won't spook the last one from running away. Thanks!
Maybe cover the tip with Tabasco too.

come to washington, at the moment our gun laws are alright considering seattle

Or dont be a shitlord and use a varmit caliber. If the 22s and coyotes dont scare cattle, then a 223 wont.
If a 22 and a coyote howling in pain dont scare off the other coyotes, then a 223 wont either.
You also wont have the issue of them running away if you could get them in 1 hit, this would be easier if you didnt use a 22.
Youre basically fabricating this whole problem for yourself dood.

I dunno if you have a bow / crossbow or if it'd even be feasible/legal, but it seems like bolts with good heads would actually serve your purpose pretty well, maybe?
I know coyotes are pretty skittish (unless it's the video of the one chasing the guy in the snow :v: ) so you might not be able to get close enough, I guess.

Maybe .223 subsonic. Maybe... Never really tried subsonic. I know my 22 is super quiet, the spent shell hitting the sliding glass door is louder.
I might be fabricating this all up but everyone crying it's in pain is just being overly dramatic as it's only gonna be in pain for a minute or so.

I think it's legal for me to even attack them with slingshots and acorns, I do have a bow but it currently has turkey heads on it right now from over 4 years ago were I never changed it back out to regular broad heads.
Yes they are supper skittish. I can't even fully get out the door before they start running. I've tried sitting in the bed of the truck and wait but they decided to take the fence line path which has cover.
We use hot .22lr loads on cats and foxes here. I wouldn't want to use a .22lr on anything larger though unless I had no choice.

I don't really want to be a dick since it's all your decision and money, but I feel compelled to give you some advice. Save some money up next time and buy something nice. It takes longer and takes some self-control, yes, but you're not really saving money by buying a shitty 870 express or that cheapo red dot, or doing a bubba scope mount on a 91/30 when you can buy a purpose-built rifle that does the job much better for just a few hundred more nowadays. You're just wasting money on a bad product that you'll probably have to replace some day.
I really do hate to be so condescending or hostile, but every time I see a collection like yours I just get the feeling it's the result of a series of rash decisions and not enough patience. I know I'm doing a lot of assuming here, so feel free to set the record straight.

Since you dont care if its in pain, go buy some claw traps from runnings or tractor supply. Youre already breaking the law by having a can not registered to you, so not having a trapping license shouldnt be a big deal to you
You can shoot a hog and kill it with a .22lr
You can shoot a hog and kill it with a .22lr
Miss its brain or spine and you have a very pissed off hog.
You can shoot a hog and kill it with a .22lr
Don't.
Why the fuck would you?
Why do people feel the need to say things like this? I had an instructor who otherwise seemed to have his head on his shoulders tell me "hurp durp you can kill a deer with a .22 if you're accurate enough!" just last night. It's just stupid and irresponsible and leads to people making stupid, irresponsible decisions.
You can kill a bear with a pocket knife
You can kill a bear with a cigarette
But can you arm a bear with arms?
You can shoot a hog and kill it with a .22lr
ok, but why would you when there are a million dedicate and adequate rifles to do the job? It's negligent to even try.
Would you bring a 22lr pistol as a back up just because you can kill a hog?
You could kill a person with a 22lr if you tried hard enough but only a colossal retard would CC a 22lr pistol.

That's why I CC 2 22's. When I shoot them both it makes a 44 but without the noise or recoil
But can you arm a bear with arms?
I support the right to arm bears.

Impeccable logic!
Next thing you know people are gonna jump on me for carrying a .40 for patrol because .45 or .50 are much more likely to kill people instantly
I'm going to go elk hunting in Alaska with a 22 short
I'm going to go elk hunting in Alaska with a 22 short
The only case in which using a smaller caliber is more inhumane to the shooter than the animal.
Next thing you know people are gonna jump on me for carrying a .40 for patrol because .45 or .50 are much more likely to kill people instantly
Of course not because using .40 on someone isn't at all comparable to using .22 on a larger than a squirrel animal, unless you're one of those "rule of cool, bigger bullet means much better" types.
I once beat a moose to death with my dick
Went to the gun show, actually came home with a new toy for once. I took my rusty old bent-up chipped-up Prussian cavalry saber with no scabbard and no grip wrap up there hoping to trade it for some beater .22. I was really hoping to score a .25 but not expecting much (I have wanted a little .25 for ages, but an antique).
A guy tugged on my sleeve and asked if the sword was for sale and I said yeah and we went back and forth on the price for a while before he offered me $100 and 3 Confederate bills that he had just bought so I said sure since I collect that kind of shit anyway and I only paid $40 for the sword in the first place.
Three or four tables down I spotted a nice little Erma .25 priced at $450 which is pretty high for one of these but anyway I asked to look at it and stuff and long story short he happened to be a Confederate bill collector and traded me for the bills and the $100 for the Erma. :v:

These are pretty inexpensive but it's a very nicely put together gun. Can't wait to put really tiny holes in paper. The finish is a bit rubbed but the gun looks practically unfired, rifling is very sharp. Made in 1968, original velvet-lined box. It's no MP-40 but it's neat to finally own an Erma.
First gun I ever shot was a .25, my dad used to stand behind me and hold my hands while I shot it when I was in Kindergarten. They're fun little toys but .25 is way too expensive.

I appreciate you trying to avoid sounding inflammatory, but its really not a budget issue. I could go out and buy a $2000 decked out tacticool AR57 (cause ar57s are fuckin dope) with proper burris optics tomorrow, and it would only really set me back a week or two of work. The problem is that Ive got a thing for mediocrity. Same reason I still drive my beat to shit $2000 post-police-and-taxi abused crown vic, even when every other month another important piece of it falls apart. I like buying cheap garbage. Dont know why, it just comes naturally for me.
and how dare you call my nugget bubba'd. the rear sight is still there and still functional, unmolested aside from having to share its mounting pins with a brass stacker.
Because.... Roadkill...
