I love my .38 special.
I feel I have to repost this because you idiots were arguing over handguns and new shooters.
Can anyone recommend shotgun slug molds? I feel it will very quickly save me money making slugs from target loads instead of buying slugs.

I was looking at the Lyman "air-rifle" slug but it seems to only come in 1 1/8 oz while most target loads are 1oz.
That's why you buy a Dan Wesson that trumps both.
What im getting from all this is that I need to buy an S&W and put anime babe grips on it with anime stickers too. Is that correct?
lol!
From what I understand, the 200m mark is really 0-200m, because the rifle will experience negligible drop at that range (assuming you are talking old full-bore war rifles). What rifle btw, it matters
18" KelTec RFB w magpul mbus pro adjustable sights. At 100m I have to line the top of the front post with the bottom the of the rear aperture to get a hit on target. Closer than that I just have to aim 6-12 inches below the target. At 25m I feel like I'm going to shoot the floor.
To add my two pence into the discussion with what handguns to start with and trust me, you don't want mine.
I mean not only does it not shoot, clean or operate well it also doesn't exist.
try remounting the rights, maybe place the front sight two slots in and mount it backwards so that folds towards the muzzle end. failing that, you can shave a little off the front post (even though i agree it should be absolutely unnecessary).
[editline]13th March 2017[/editline]
but, to a total keltec noob (since they don't exist here), could the rail be skewered? sounds like it points upwards. your picatinny rail shouldn't be like the ramp on the fucking admiral kuznetsov, but idk
[editline]13th March 2017[/editline]
pointing down i mean but you get it
I'll try reversing the sights and front post. And placing them a few clicks further apart.
A quick look at it confirms what ya'll said. Ooo first AR buy later this year maybe? I want one that has this sight on it:

I fuckin love that carry sight. Bring back CS nostalgia.
That particular version is listed at a cost of $1200 on the S&W website, vs. $600-700 for the M&P-15 Sport, which comes with a BUIS.
Just get the sport and buy an aftermarket carry-handle sight.
Do you guys know any good military surplus online?
Particularly looking for knives but it's there's no dedicated thread for that so this is probably the next best thing
IMA-USA usually has a good selection but be prepared to pay collector prices for all their items.
That's why you buy a Dan Wesson that trumps both.
I had been looking for one for the past 5 years on-and-off, finally found it for a good price at a gunshow, hiding behind a bunch of beat down police trade-ins and new hillary hole Smiths.
I had very high expectations before shooting it, and it exceeded them by far.

Cellphone camera makes everything look like crap, I need to break out the DSLR like I did for my other guns.
As far as I can tell it is a 1977, made in Monson Massachusetts when old man Dan was still around.
Who was the guy here that got handed down a Dan Wesson full kit with like 5 barrels?
None of us even recommended a M&P. Why bother asking for opinions if youre just going to ignore them?
Because none of you could agree on a definitive answer; it seemed to be almost entirely up to personal opinion. I'm also not obligated to buy a gun based solely on the advice of a guy whose name is a holocaust joke.
I appreciate the advice. I do not appreciate being treated like shit because of a product I purchased with my own money. I test-fired the gun before I purchased it and I found the trigger to be fine with me. I may be inexperience with firearms, and perhaps I'll consider a different manufacturer in the future, but it works fine for me.

That was me. It's probably the nicest gun I've ever shot.

Just taking the opportunity to rate that gun again.
That revolver just makes me happy and I'm not even the biggest fan of revolvers

Thats because there is no definitive answer? The question you asked is like "wat is the best car". Of course its based on opinion, then you just go and ignore everyones.
Enjoy your M&P. I genuinely hope it doesn't fail you when you need it or go off on it's own when its on your hip. You should replace it immediately.

It isn't going to fail or discharge on his belt. M&P's aren't miserable guns.
There are better choices, like most of the things suggested by the thread, but the M&P is just exceedingly mediocre, not dangerous.

Just wait and see. S&W has issued recalls for the M&P in the past for severe issues with the pistol, I'm sure we'll have another recall at some point.
He didn't buy a hi point. can we all just share a little collective sigh of relief there and move on?
What do you guys think about super comanches?
I want one [del]for cc of course[/del] for trash blasting, it looks fun as hell.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your opinion is not as important to me as you seem to demand it be.
Thanks for offering your input. I didn't go with what you suggested. You'll have to learn to live with that.
opinions are shit amirite?
he is voicing genuine concern over a gun that has had several recalls based on the safety of the trigger mechanism, where it, hint hint, could potentially go off from a drop or a hard smack (as in you trip and fall onto the ground, the wind sends your open car door against your hip, you accidentally bang your thigh into a tabletop or countertop). i wouldn't ever carry a gun like that for safety reasons, especially when the trigger is known to be objectively very bad.
If you can provide evidence that my exact model of gun has a defect that would cause it to misfire, I would love to see it.
You haven't, though, so I'm not sure why you bothered writing this.
I'm not all that well versed with the shield but the Full size M&P really isn't a bad gun. I shoot 3 gun a lot and there are a bunch of guys I know that run M&P's because they choose to not because they have to (we're talking guys that have multiple $2k+ glocks) I'm not a big fan of M&P triggers but then again I'm not a fan of most stock triggers in general
Cyke we love you dawg but you need to chill. The M&P has cons but it's not possessed by demons and if it works for someone and they're happy with it and the problems that made it unsafe for carry were resolved then who cares?
Personally I just wish there was a version with a grip safety so I could carry it in my leather boot holster. :v:
i couldn't care less about your choice of a subpar gun and how you feel like defending your purchase.
i think gunfox' ban just shows the bias against not agreeing with the rest itt.
the recall was for all shield models prior to some date in '13, if they fuck up once they can fuck up again.

i wouldn't buy any remington firearm ever again either based on how terribly pathetically shitty they handled the x-mark pro trigger recall the first time, and now again, combined with their horrible qc (or lack thereof) the last decade.
Good for you man. I'm happy for you.
Good for you man. I'm happy for you.
sorry you're having such a shitty experience here.
For the most part, this kinda nonsense doesn't happen.
I meant what i said about practicing, though, now's the time to go put as many rounds through that thing as your budget allows. Know it and love it if you're going to carry it.
