That's janked up as hell to get a specific gun. Try looking through gun broker.
Checked earlier today, there were a few semi-auto PPSh-es (like 2, and like 2 on Armslist, most of what I found was parts kits), but they weren't TNW specifically. I don't want to take a chance on another brand when the TNW one is already legal here.
Hey, Download, how expensive is it usually to get firearms shipped interstate? Looking at Enfields, not many for sale around NSW being advertised online but there's a few around in Vic, QLD etc.

I've never bothered.
From what I hear it's usually about $100 all up.

It will probably be cheaper if you have it sent to your club armourer instead of a gun shop.
$100 to ship a gun between states in Australia? That's crazy. It cost me $43 to ship an AR basically across the country, from Ontario to BC. Why is the shipping cost so high?

Probably requires overnight and insurance.

Only licensed dealers can ship over state lines and it has to be to other dealers. So you have to pay the dealer at one end to process it, pay to ship it and then pay a dealer to process it at the other end.

But you have to have a personal gun license anyway in Australia. I understand why America does it, so that a background check can be performed, but in a country that already has licensing that sounds so fucking stupid. Blatantly designed to just make buying a gun a pain in the ass.

Well, yeah, that would be the point.

there's a guy in louisville,KY on armslist with a TNW ppsh for 1500. I have friends in the owensboro area that might be able to work something out?
EDIT:
nevermind Didn't notice the listing had expired
Yeah I saw that one. That's also a lot of money.
seemed steep but I have literally no idea what PPSH's are worth. If you happen to find one in illinois, kentucky, arkansas or missouri or colorado, utah or arizona i'd be fine with helping ya out I got a buddy in arizona that may be able to find one ol boy has more guns then he knows what to do with
I know someone who knows a guy in rural Michigan with more guns than brains, I think I'll ask him if that guy has one or not.

probably quicker than me looking for one I met ol boy at knob creek one year talk to him every now and then it would kind of be a shot in the dark
Selling a lot of shit to pick up this rifle, hoping this stuff sells fast.
If you live in a fantasy land yea. EO's rules aren't exactly followed
You're thinking of Executive Actions, which have no real legal power beyond interpreting vague laws. EO's are essentially how the Bureaucracy operate and are effectively finer-point laws on how to run laws; only trumped by written and passed laws themselves.
Essentially, if the President wanted to get rid of entire Federal Agencies, so long as they're not specifically operated and funded by name in legislation, the President can do it with the stroke of a pen via EO.
Also, Executive Memo's are essentially EA's but without being officially 'documented' by a registrar and publicised. And are even less enforceable since they only really apply directly to federal employees, much like a memo at any office wouldn't affect customers much, if at all.
Anyone know of any decently priced outdoor ranges near the twin cities?

Guy also had a 71/84 and an 88. Bank account not strong enough...
Hey Grenadiac, what do you make of this?
More than what I'd pay for an SMLE in that condition, matching or not. Also has electro penciled import marks, yuck.

Yeah. I'd also be suspicious of the condition of the bore if the rest of it looks like that.

The days of cheap Enfields are over I think. Just like Mosins, they are finally starting to climb in price. With that in mind, if I wanted a nice SMLE and the only available one was $550 I would pay that price, especially because this one comes with a matched $200 bayonet. I paid $75 for my bayonet of that model and it was really rusty. That one is very nice.
The import mark is icky but the rest of the rifle looks pretty good. Ask for a bore picture. If the bore isn't rusty I'd say go for it. Even if it is it can probably be cleaned up.

Yeah.
Trouble is, I'm out of work at the moment (school and all lel), so I think I'll hold off until August.
Looking at photos of the No.4's rear sight assembly, I think I could probably make the upgrade myself.

Shipping on my Rem700 from NSW to SA was only $30...
So I decided to take a bunch of pictures of what my Remington 597 that hasn't been cleaned in nearly 6 years and nearly 6000 rounds looks like.

How are you liking them?
After putting the TA11J-308 ACOG on my RFB I can actually manage <2" groupings at 100 yards.
Maybe i'll use the sten parts to make a non-firing replica? All I would have to do is weld something in the barrel, and drill out the firing pin right? Then I could use all the parts I have already including the 8-inch barrel and standard (FA) bolt and receiver.
Whaddya think?
(otherwise I would have to spend $250 more and give it a 16 inch barrel)
I don't have the heart to permanently mutilate the bolt that way, but I think you could do it. Although the ATF still has the power to deem it readily convertable.
