One word. irons....
I was thinking the same thing. I don't exactly buy their "we'll put our faith in the optics, it's the 21st century :hurr:" thinking either.
Saving weight is all well and good, but if I have to choose between irons only or an optic only, I'll pick irons.
That's not their thinking, they're putting themselves in the role of Eugene Stoner designing a modern, forward looking rifle with some outlandish features.
Trading a guy my 1911-380 for his Mossberg 590 Mariner. The best part? The mariner should be drilled and tapped, which means I can actually make a proper masterkey this time!

I'm aware of that. I'm just of the opinion that there's no good reason not to have backup iron sights. As reliable as modern optics are, if they do go down, you are screwed if you don't have some form of redundancy. I know the modern, high-speed shit is supposed to be able to run for several years at a time, survive being frozen in a block of ice and all kinds of crazy shit, but I just don't feel comfortable putting all of my eggs in one basket.

Don't forget they are using holosun and primary arms stuff....not exactly proven or top-of-the-line.

Now before you go calling me a bubba dickhole, which Ill admit this time, keep in mind this is the second shittiest break action 410 I could find in the city, and I'd never cut up a gun that was better off otherwise.

Anyone have any recommendations for OWB open carry retention holsters? I picked up a Blackhawk Serpa for my 26 for OWB carry, but after reading a lot of training courses have banned them for students causing misfires by not operating the retention lever properly. It seems like a very practical and functional holster besides that though. I am doing a lot of construction and outdoor work and want something that has more than simple kydex retention.

That's nothing.

What I loved is when the guy who owns "Black Eye" showed up to talk about it. When asked what he paid for it, he responded "I gave buddy a couple packs 'a darts for it." How very Canadian.

Just placed an order for some stripper clips for the Anzac Day shoot. I'm hoping my No5 will be back from the gunsmith by then, but if not I can always shoot the Mk III*

How expensive are they for you guys? They're a little over $2 each if I were to order them online.
Not that I can get them any other way. Lee Enfields are a bit of a niche rifle up here.

This barrel..
or
https://www.andersonrifles.com/product/18-stainless-heavy-barrel-with-straight-flutes/#reviews
4150 vs Stainless basically. Both same chambering twist etc. I'd love to have gotten a 16" barrel but cant find anything that meets my fancy and MD regulation besides a basic barrel.
So. Tax refund coming in.
Should I buy an Aimpoint PRO and shift the Vortex and magnifier to the PTR, or should I just say fuck it and get the PTR an actual scope?
