I live in the middle of a city so cant exactly go blasting away, and all the places around me are rod and gun clubs that are members only
what do
Option 1: become a member
Option 2: go move somewhere thats not a big city
I live in a big city and I don't have that problem.
Actually, I had that problem far more in fucking Mississippi than I do here.
Does anyone have a spare ATI adapter for Mossberg shotguns? I'm trying to see if the guy I traded with still has it and just forgot to give it to me, but I want a backup plan just in case.
So, I want to add a vertical grip to my AR pistol but the thing is I need to get it registered as an AOW if it's shorter than 26 inches. When measuring my AR, do I measure from the buffer tube all the way to the flash hider or right until I hit the flash hider?
If your flash hider is pinned, it counts as part of the barrel. If not, measure to the end of the threads.

Like grendic said if the flash hider is pinned and welded that's considered part of the barrel for length purposes.
But it's, from end of buffer tube to the middle muzzle. Any thing not permanently attached ie. Arm brace doesn't count.
That's federal though, your state could have a more restrictive definition ontop of that.
Can anyone explain to me what the deal with magazine disconnects is? Like, what's the purpose, and why do people hate it so much?
Magazine disconnects don't allow the pistol to fire a chambered round with the mag removed/partially inserted. Lots of police departments require it on duty pistols due to the fear of a loss of control over the weapon and subsequently being able to fire even if the mag was dropped in the struggle.
I don't particularly care about MD/no MD however I can see why people don't like em especially on carry/home defense guns. The last thing you want in a shoot situation is a fumble and not being able to fire (even if it is only the chambered round) until the mag is re-seated. Every gun I CC has the minimal amount of safeties possible (P320 has fuck all cept for my finger, G19 when I carried it has the trigger tab, warthawg has the grip safety disabled with a ranger band and an Ambi manual safety)

Adding a vertical grip to a pistol is a felony without a tax stamp anyways but an angled grip isn't. Just use an angled grip and save yourself the tax stamp woes.
Thinking about selling one of my rifles and was wondering what I should ask for. Because I shoot it so little and I really prefer my AK, I was thinking about using the money from this and getting a deactivated RPG-7 + rocket.
What would be reasonable for:
Gently used (<500 rounds) Stock M&P Sport II
Replacement quad rail hand-guard with rail covers
3 USGI mags + 1 USGI "banana" yellow mag with sticker
Plastic rifle case
padlock for case
chamber cord lock for rifle
~100 rounds of ammo
Cleaning kit
Delta ring compressor device for replacing handguard
I know the market for AR's has been... lessening and they are going for cheaper. The reason I got mine in the first place was because of the election.
The deactivated RPG + Rocket would run me around $1000
With the quad rail on it you can probably get back what you paid for it, it's just tough to sell ARs in this market. My LGS offered me $750 for my quad rail MP15 but told me selling to him would be a mistake because I could get back most or all of what I paid for it if I found a private buyer.

Now is not the time to sell ARs at all. They are too cheap and plentiful to even make a decent amount of cash. you will be losing a lot for what you put into it. you might squeeze an extra 50 bucks for you accessories, but unlikely. Find something else to sell, or don't buy the launcher.

Is it ever going to be viable to sell then? Because I would like to sell, would I have to wait months? Years? Will it ever be worth selling?

Whats the difference?
Got some .308 Brown Bear today.
I love the brown paper wrapping and green-lacquered cases. Makes me think I just bought soviet surplus.

Yup. There goes me ever buying an M1A.
I keep saying it, don't buy American. This is why. At some point, if it hasn't already happened, they'll sacrifice our rights for their profits.
“The legislative process is a fluid process. The bill has only moved through one chamber, and it is still in the process. We fully support the Second Amendment and stand by it. The Illinois Manufacturers Association will continue to fight and protect not only manufacturers, but dealers and the gun owner as well.”
And just how do you propose to do that, I wonder? By opposing anti-gun legislation?
You just did the opposite.
Go fuck yourselves, and take your overpriced, overhyped knock-offs of guns developed by minds greater than yours and pitch the whole lot into Lake Michigan. You don't deserve to be allowed to make firearms, or profit from them.

Doesnt James river armory build m1a rifles as well?
