Doesnt James river armory build m1a rifles as well?
https://www.classicfirearms.com/m14-rifle-w-rockola-receiver-7-62x51-cal-semi-auto looks great, but holy shit that price I'm beginning to realize how good of a deal I got with my PTR.

Actually check out James river's bm59 rifles...quite a bit cheaper

You might want to poke around the m14/m1a forums for other sellers/makers of m14 rifles. Just be ready for a pissing contest as the people are territorial about who you buy from.

I might look into it at some point, though. EDIT: Also, with regards to good deals, I've heard people saying that AR-10s are going for around $600 nowadays. If I didn't already own an AR-15 and didn't think having more than one of a type of weapon is boring, I'd be creaming myself.
Guys I might have a problem. Or the opposite of one. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uFLIK6S.jpg?1[/t] [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] It looks a bit goofy but it feels so good
Well it's that or norinco.... Actually check out James river's bm59 rifles...quite a bit cheaper
The Norinco is a way better rifle anyway [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] Its not also $2,000 for one of the worst battle rifles in history.
why'd you get any M14 pattern thing, they're heavy, bad triggers, inaccurate.. [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] true for the ruger minis too
Is PrusseLusken Norwegian for wet blanket?

[sp]i own an m1a and besides my mausers its my favorite rifle[/sp] MY MERGE
well that thing is sweet what did ya end up paying for it. also I'm assuming it's urban grey and not cerakoted FDE?
680 out the door. A touch high but my normal LGS apparently got broken into and is closed. And yeah, urban grey with omega [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] Also CZ interchangability ftw [t]http://i.imgur.com/pa6ZuHZ.jpg?1[/t]
Looks like some goofy 80s movie gun like that hahaha
[sp]i own an m1a and besides my mausers its my favorite rifle[/sp] MY MERGE
Im sorry to hear that.
Figured it was urban grey being an omega and all but the lighting made it look tan-er than it is. 680 is a little high out the door but not horrible. lo-cap model since your in CO as well aren't ya?
Yeah, I'm going to hunt around for some normal cap mags though, shouldn't be too hard. [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] I think I might sell my S&W now that I have this
yeah ain't that hard I just grab mags when I'm in illinois but even in CO they ain't hard to find nobody really cares except for the denver/boulder area
Which is where I'm at but the mag design is so old it really doesn't matter. "Oh, I used to have a normal CZ 75 and these mags are from that"
Yeah, I'm going to hunt around for some normal cap mags though, shouldn't be too hard. [editline]29th April 2017[/editline] I think I might sell my S&W now that I have this
Lol they gave you the more expensive high cap magazines and theyre pinned. What a terrible place to live.
Lol they gave you the more expensive high cap magazines and theyre pinned. What a terrible place to live.
Yep absolutely terrible. Too bad there aren't shittons of vastly better things here than many other states.
Yep absolutely terrible. Too bad there aren't shittons of vastly better things here than many other states.
Yea like, as well as, and don't forget.
Yea like, as well as, and don't forget.
lol do you really want me to list them out?
lol do you really want me to list them out?
I just did!
Woah night sites are cool
Yea like, as well as, and don't forget.
Dude you are like the opposite of fun you don't like M1As and now apparently you don't give a shit about legal weed what the fuck man :v:
Dude you are like the opposite of fun you don't like M1As and now apparently you don't give a shit about legal weed what the fuck man :v:
I'm very clearly joking, except about the M1A. Colorado is cool, but North Dakota is better. I'm fine without the whole legal weed thing because that means I dont have to deal with stoner culture in my state.

M1A is mans rifle, for men. Even then, not nearly as manly as the Garand which is the epitome of the manly American rifle. Ping motherfucker.
M1As are cool, I prefer them to PTRs and etc, and they're about tied with FALs in my book But they're pricey for what you get, imo. Or else I'd definitely buy one.

I honestly think the sights are the worst thing about the PTR.
Springfield Armory made a Hi Point... I honestly liked the overall feel of it

I honestly think the sights are the worst thing about the PTR.
I don't really factor in reliability of an action or anything like that, because if I have any weapon going out into the field camping or etc. with me it'd probably just be a boring old AR or something. Andyeah, cost is prohibitive. I've never shot any PTRs, granted, but from the few I've held they just don't feel quite right to me. Kinda biased, since I vastly prefer rifle grips.
