If they've come up with cheap polymer STANAG magwells for 5.56 AKs and VZ 58s, I'm sure they could make something for a mini 14.
The mag well for the AK and VZ look very similar:

The problem is that the magwell has to come off when ever you field strip the gun. That, and the garand safety.
For the record, I hate ARs. I hate the way they function, their ergonomics, and their look, but its better in every single regard to a mini.
You are dead to me.
I don't think the mini14 looks bad at all, but there are just better, cheaper guns out there.
But fuck that, if you want a range toy, buy your range toy. Go shoot it, fuck it, do whatever you want. It's your gun. Don't let others bring you down about your purchases.

I'd totally go for a Mini 14 GB if I found one and had the cash.

The GTA Vice City throwback. I'd lowkey buy one of those too.
I got a TLR6 for my Glock 26 today. I also got an extended mag release a few days ago.

And a new holster too.

I was thinking less GTA, more Royal Bermuda Regiment.
Those guys actually used those things until very recently. Crazy, huh?

Ew, why?

Even an SA80 would be better than that.

From what I understand, they got impatient waiting for the SA80 to come out.
I'm thinking about making one of these.

I'm not thrilled about it. But literally all they did was make it hard to hold. The lack of a threaded barrel and bayonet lug doesn't really effect me. Still gay though.
I considered getting a second M1 Carbine but I've always found they're less than reliable and 30 Carb is how to source around here. I also looked at Mini-14's but the mags are like $50 a piece and nothing about it really excites me either. All I'm trying to do is find an AR replacement in the end so I might as well just get an AR.
This is awful, they put an AK safety on an AR...

Why? The selector is probably one of the worst parts of the AK design, right down there with the rear sight.
The AR's is nearly perfect.
The AR is far from perfect.
The AR is far from perfect.
Its selector switch is right where it needs to be though.
Should be completing most of my first AR build today.

finally we can have the worst aspect of an ak on our ar's

But come on guys its fun :v:
I bought a gun that doesn't exist.
No, it's not a ghost gun, and not it wasn't a prototype.
I put down money for a special CZ that isn't available anywhere right now. My friendo that works in receiving and inventory management for our store has put out "a special kind of buy order" for one. Money gone from my account, so now all I do is play the waiting game. I've been saving and waiting forever.
Nice. I'm loving my 75b version of that but I would have picked up the Sp01 if they had it.
I too hate the AR. Crap ergonomics
I take offense at this. The P90 is the definition of practical. The gun is literally a perfect personal defense weapon.
"Literally perfect"

Why would you carry 4 mags for a P90 though? (5, counting the loaded mag) You wouldn't carry 7 AR15 mags.

Even if you carry two or just one you still run into the issue of the magazines being pretty damn long and bulky.

What's the brand on that holster? You know if they make a version that would work for appendix carry?

Actually you would, as the standard combat load for the US Army is 7 mags, 210rds.

Not like you're bending over half way up your rib cage, so that's not much of a concern.

My current duty gun is a 75BD which I also shoot for competition. I'm tempted to get one of the 390~ ones from buds and turn it into an open gun.
