eh is it panic buying if you buy or build like 1 to 2 guns a month just cause you can? Right now i'm trying to decide between building a long range .308 AR (already have 2 AR's in 5.56 and one in .300blk) or buying either an SLR-107F or a SAM7R-66 (I do not have any AK variants ATM)
it's panic buying if you're buying a gun because you think you won't be able to next month
fair enough I've been buying the same amount of guns I always have lol My checklist for a gun goes "is it cool? can I afford it? sweet new gun!" lol

If you want an AK, buy a WASR10/63. Dont waste your money on an arsenal

Dont waste your money on an arsenal. The cheapest AK out there will perform on the same level as the most expensive AK. AKs arent performance guns, its non sensical to shell out $1k+ for them. If you spend more than $750 on one BNIB, then you wasted your money.
It's panic buying if you listen to Faux and think every not-Faux paid senator/candidate is going to steal your guns and you buy every nonsensical thing you can and every round of ammo you'll never need even if you were a competitive shooter practicing 8 hours a day for not real reason other than they can't have it if I buy it.
If it's a hobby and you enjoy it, that's not panic buying. You're cool.
Well a bit embarrassed to admit this but I finally got to the range for a decent amount of time with my RAMI. Put about 150 rounds through it. I fucking love it.
Bought myself a pistol vault today. Mounted it to my work desk to hold my Glock. Really impressed with the quality and ease of use.
It's a Speedvault SV500, got it off Amazon. I want two more now after seeing how nice they are. Very quick and quiet and having an LED light when it opens is a nice touch. I really recommend it.
I am also selling my WASR 10, I just cant justify having an rifle like that. Just sits in the safe, with no practical value what so ever to me. I've fired it just a handful of times since I got it. I'm thinking I'll either buy a Glock 17, or a Schott Leather jacket of all things with the proceeds. I always told myself I'd never sell my guns, but the longer I go, the less I care. I think 17 year old me would punch myself.
I sold my WASR for 5x what it was worth a few days after sandy hook, and I honestly regret it

Wait a month or two before you sell it, FEED THE PANIC BUYING :v:
Holy shit it finally came. Eighteen months of misery waiting finally brought forth a ridiculous version of what you guys apparently hate the most! Can't wait to test'er out.

Well, it's not the worst I've seen in a race gun.
Welp, for $120 I got me a FailZero NiB BCG in my rifle. Gonna take it out tomorrow I think to see how she does.

Pics? I might consider buying. No guarantees though.

Don't do it. He wants to see where you've really hidden it so he can steal the whole desk.

Silence, fool! I would NEVER steal such an exquisite, finely-crafted...
FUCK.
But in all seriousness, I actually might consider it, depending on the price and ease of getting it here. Pretty sure it'd need to go through an FFL transfer, I'm not too familiar with the rules. Thing is, I have my heart set on a PTR, so I apologize if I end up wasting your time.

well that thing is fucking purdy I shoot IPSC in the standard division every now and again but would love to move up to open class what did you end up paying for that monster?
Only race gun I want is a Czechmate
So a couple weeks ago I gave my gunshop some cash in advance for a .357 1873 replica. Too bad this morning the original owner showed up and wanted it back, my dreams of becoming Shashsalashka will have to wait.
But it doesn't really matter, still got myself a new gat muthafuckas

Went to the gun show today. Saw a lot of good deals on rifles. Cheap Nagant Carbines and 98K's
Almost bought an M16A1 upper with the fixed carrying handle but couldn't really spend the money. Brother-in-Law almost got a 9mm Lower but he didn't for the same reason.
All I picked up was a Glock 26 mag and a 10rd M1 Carbine mag.
I've noticed I tend to hoard Enfield stripper clips at gunshows even though I don't have one anymore. I've got like 10 of them.

You can send them to me, my family has 2.
I'd take them, but with my bubba'd scope rail, I can't use them. Also, I hoard strippers for my AR as well, even though I never use them what so ever. I just like the theory of convenience.

Nah I'm going to get one someday.
Took and passed my CWP class today, so should have my permit soon. People in my state have been getting them in sub 60 days so thats cool
I got my IPSC license today!
Here is a short video from me shooting a practice stage we did earlier today:

Never really thought of that. Granted, it's not like we'd use Spanish or Dutch here in the states. That's kind of stupid, honestly.
still find it so incredibly tacky how you have to speak english even if every single one present is norwegian, danish, czech or whatever. i guess that's what the I in IPSC is for but still. so rigid and weird
Well, only the commands given before and after course of fire are in English. I think it's a good idea to be consistent, so there's even less possibility for confusion when people attend matches, since they will be running around with loaded weapons.
Shot my new GP100 today. Hot damn is it fun, and accurate. Shot a good 200 rounds of .357. At one point I took the time to really focus and aim properly, and managed to get 5 of 6 shots to touch in single-action just a bit high of point of aim, which is perfect, because I was shooting at 10 yards, which means it's sighted for 25. The PMC ammo I was shooting didn't seem to want to eject the spent casings very easily though, they'd get stuck in the cylinder a bit and I'd have to pull them the rest of the way out. I kinda wish I had more than one speedloader too, because the club always has you load mags before firing, and if I had more speedloaders to load it'd make it a lot easier to reload than putting the shells in one at a time.
The gun needs a good cleaning after 200 rounds though, it got pretty dirty.
When you empty the cylinder, do this style of reload. You hold the cylinder from moving, point the muzzle in the air, and smack the ejector rod. This allows gravity to assist in dropping the spent brass.
Example:

I didn't want to risk the RO yelling at me for pointing it straight up, and I wanted to ensure I caught all the brass. It was a minor inconvenience anyway.
