I'd suggest a PTR, but I think you already have one :v:
This thread is rapidly turning all next rifle purchase suggestions into "Get a PTR."
I have absolutely no problems with this turn of events.:v:
It's a very fair suggestion. I've been eyeing one for ages
Atlantic Firearms has 18" FALs in stock again.

This guy is awesome...
As requested. My BAE. I censored the rest, I don't know what you could do with it but better safe than sorry I guess?

Mine is HKU,EMC,AB,Z,P,E,NW,WK.
So I don't have any good quality funny serials... and the other 7 don't even have letters.
So I just got a job working for the Optics department of a hunting supply store. The hope is to get cross-trained over to firearms, but in the meantime I need to learn a lot more about scopes, rangefinders and the like. I've always shot with ironsights, and so while I'm a gun nut through and through, I actually don't know much about other kinds of sights. Any of you guys know anywhere I can read up on this kind of thing pretty quick?
I learnt about scopes from asking the grumpy old gunsmith at my shop relly stupid questions for a year or so. Now I'm the one people ask the questions to.
I'd help more but I'm on lunch. If you have any questions about working gun retail in Canada feel free to PM me/add me on steam. I've been working at a shop for almost 5 years now.

Checkout some of the sniper/long-range forums for your high end glass, hunting forums for general purpose, and look on YouTube. That's the best I can suggest. Generally Leopold will be the best(usually).
I know Vortex makes some (relatively) affordable optics. By all accounts they're decent quality, but I'd imagine most of that testimony is coming from the guys who're buying red dot tubes for their ARs. I haven't heard anything bad about their telescopic sights though.
I found an Imbel FAL parts kit for $575... combined with a DSA upper receiver for another $550, I'd have the gold standard of FALs.
Anyone wanna donate to my FAL fund? :(

I had a Vortex 4-16 scope on my M1A. It was amazing. I could clearly see the impact holes 100 yards downrange with that thing, and it held up to the .308 recoil exceptionally.

That scope looks a little big for my liking. I'd go for something with a lower weight and profile, even if it meant I could only get 4x magnification out of it. That's just me though.
EDIT: That's a nice looking rifle by the way.
I'm a firm believer in that it isn't a real scope unless it goes to the end of the barrel.

I bet you're one of those freaks who likes raceguns, too. :v:

As I've said before, only racegun I'd buy is the Czechmate but that's only because of the brand and name.

I have however shot a .44 with fuckoff huge scope. Same guy who I laned next to and let me shoot his Kimber Supermatch.
A customer at the store/range I work at bought a Kel-Tec RFB, so we gave him an hour of range time for free. Came out after five minutes, the gun jammed twice and had a failure to feed. It's hard to defend kel-tec. My carry (a pf9) has had issues, but isn't the worst.
shit mags, shit ammo, or is the gun in itself just shit..?
We gave him some range ammo (none of it garbage). With the purchase came three mags, and from visual inspection they looked fine. We sent it back to kel-tec for proper inspection/possible rebuild.
I want a PLR 16 just because I think it would look cool on a big thigh holster but I'd never actually buy one

Thank you. Everything ahead of the white text around the ring is just a sunshade and can be threaded off.
Can confirm Kel-Tec firearms are literal garbage.
It's a shame. They make the coolest shit.

Sounds like he didn't read the manual on adjusting the gas system to work with the ammo. It literally talks about it in the manual.

I got a vortex Diamondback HP on my 10/22 a Viper PST on one of my AR's and a vortex viper red dot on my G19 I can't find anything bad to say about them. The CRS zero stop turrets on the PST are honestly my favorite turret style I've played with

I want an RFB so bad, but knowing the reputation of keltec and the gun itself I've stayed away. Damn shame too since it looks cool as hell.
If I wanted a bullpup, I'd probably go for a Tavor. IMI has some nice models.
Too bad I'm poor.

If i really wanter a budget bullpup, id get a bullpup stock for my 870.
If I wanted a bullpup it wouldn't matter because I can't have one.
So my GP100's double action was being obnoxiously stiff on 2 cylinders after going to the range. At the time that I tore it all apart, I couldn't find a guide on how to take the cylinder assembly apart, and Ruger doesn't tell you how in the manual. After posting on reddit I found a guide, followed it, and cleaned a bunch of carbon out from where the cylinder arm goes and spins the cylinder and it seems to have fixed it. Even when I spin the cylinder it sounds different. I could hear the carbon grinding in there before, now it makes a whizzing sound.
Went and shot my new bcg. The thing is smooth and doesn't get dusty at allll...
If I wanted a bullpup, I'd get a PS90.
