Finally got my CCW and bought an alien gear belt and holster for my CZ 75. The only real option I have to carry
Finally got my CCW and bought an alien gear belt and holster for my CZ 75. The only real option I have to carry
I'm always tempted to pick up one of those for my RAMI, they're supposed to be really nice.
I'm always tempted to pick up one of those for my RAMI, they're supposed to be really nice.
I run an alien gear cloak 3.0 on a SOE gear riggers belt as my daily carry alien gear makes ridiculously nice holsters
I'm always tempted to pick up one of those for my RAMI, they're supposed to be really nice.
They are extremely comfortable, and that's coming from a guy who lives in the middle of central Florida and is outside for a good portion of the day with it. It feels very well balanced, makes the weight much better. I carry a P250c in .40 with mine.
Someone local to me is selling on of the DSA FALs. God I'm soo tempted...
i just got back from shooting for the first time. was pretty fun.
It's a preference thing. I actually don't like my alien gear. It just is uncomfortable, flexes and bows outwards way to much when sitting or bending and it's too big a profile for me. I prefer these really boring ass leather holsters. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/9ab0b524a574427369bdd1558746c8ba.jpg[/t] They have a clip for the belt if you want IWB or you lace the belt through those slits for OWB. It wears flat if it's empty so they're really, really handy. I wear one empty all day at work while I ankle carry and right before I head out for the night I pop it into my waist and head out the door. If not for the fact the holster is so handy, small and flat I would've had my gun still in the ankle holster where I couldn't have gotten to it when some dude tried to mug me one night. But as soon as the power went out I was able to go into a bathroom stall, pop it in my waist band and came out ready for whatever crazy shit may go down in my ghetto as town. It was lucky too, I had literally bought the holster a day or two before it all went down.

It's a chunky subcompact. That and I just spent a good bit on a leather holster for it that I like. I'll probably pick one up anyway once I get my carry permit and some paychecks.

Plus they have insane warranties. If it breaks they will pretty much replace it. My only complaint is that I wish it would ride a tad bit lower (it has 3[?] adjustment settings), since my gun likes to stick out from my body (I'm not very big to begin with).
I'm always tempted to pick up one of those for my RAMI, they're supposed to be really nice.
How is the RAMI? My CZ75 is the full size and I'm hoping it won't be too much of an ass pain to carry until I buy a dedicated carry gun and I've been looking at RAMIs and the HK P2000sk.
i just got back from shooting for the first time. was pretty fun.
What'd you shoot?

I love my shield but the shield is alittle bit too large and heavy for my body type...
Hahah, so apparently people have been fucking with weapon law loopholes since forever. The AR-15 "pistol" of the medieval period.

It's also a touch heavy but due to that and the slide design it handles like some non subs I've shot.
So I had a great conversation with my sister-in-law's husband about guns and 2A stuff. It was great. Definitely want to take him shooting when we see each other next.

All it does is simulate automatic fire!"
Yep. "It's not a machine-gun, it's an AR with a bumpfire stock!
Im thinking about picking a bodyguard up, do you enjoy shooting yours? I love my shield but the shield is alittle bit too large and heavy for my body type...
I recommend it. It's size and weight make it incredibly handy and it's my most used an carried firearm for that reason. Enjoy shooting it? Meh. It's a small gun, low weight, high recoil .380 and you have to modify your grip so you rest your thumb over your hand to keep it from accidentally blocking the controls because it's easy to hold down the slide lock by accident and cause a stovepipe on the last round. It's also important to replace the stock mag springs with aftermarket ones. The stock ones have memory issues and won't engage the slide lock reliably, new springs fix that. That's all I've got to say really. I love mine.
My alien gear let me carry my sp101 comfortably even while driving.
What'd you shoot?
don't know what actual guns they were but .22 rifle, .223 rifle, .303, some lever action, and a 12 gauge shotgun.
I made a thing. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/bu7fwp.jpg[/t] Wooden patches. I'll back them with velcro. This is one of a few different designs I've made.
I'd take a G11 tho, probably be able to retire on the money I'd get from selling one
Oh neat Apparently, the dude who shot the stabby terrorist in minnesota was a firearms instructor with a ccw. He also ows a shooting range, is a former police chief, and competes in three-gun.
I found an Imbel FAL parts kit for $575... combined with a DSA upper receiver for another $550, I'd have the gold standard of FALs.
Plus around $250 for headspace gauges, locking shoulder gauges, receiver wrench, breaker bar, and preferably another $60-some for a barrel vice. I've been looking at building an FAL for the last few months, but it's not cheaper to build than buy anymore.
I'm just going to save up and buy a DSA Voyager, I guess. I'd love to have one built on genuine vintage parts but it's just not worth the trouble. [editline]20th September 2016[/editline] I almost bought a PM-63 parts kit since they're so cheap but it looks like the rebuild is complex as fuck. Guess I dodged a bullet.

I think you guys will get a laugh out of this:

I got my Hipoint carbine today. [t]http://i.imgur.com/UEoGYNd.jpg[/t] I had one ftf out of 60 fired. If it doesnt happen again, Ill chock it up to break-in on the aftermarket redball 20rd mag. The rear sight was a bitch and a half to get set right, but that was before I noticed the front sight was adjustable too. I still dont like the build quality on the rear sight. Its the only place the cheesiness of the gun is painfully obvious. Once I got it adjusted, it was great. The ghost ring sights are nice and easy to use. Secret FP exclusive shot of Birdman's priving shooting range: Also, Im really not getting much better at shooting my Ruger 9E. Im much more accurate with my P-64. I blame the sights. This: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Fu2yDvP.jpg[/t] vs this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/rJ5cJom.jpg[/t] Both pics were taken at arms length. Theres just so much less margin of error on the P-64. On the 9E, I try my hardest to keep the 3 dots lined up, but keep missing by embarrassing margins most of the time. Any ideas on how to fix this? I wanna use the 9E for the course I have to take to get the new and improved xX~Enanced~Xx SD concealed carry permit, and I dont wanna go to a certified course if Im gonna look like a doofus missing targets at 30 yards.
