I learned a lot. Like apparently the hammer has a J-spring in it and that spring was so high it was interfering with putting the retaining pin through the hammer. It took 10 minutes of hammering, injuring my fingers, and fucking round with a screwdriver to finally get it in. The trigger is like 8 pounds or something too, it's a really heavy trigger. I can't imagine I'm going to keep it in this gun for very long. Also apparently the trigger can't be installed with a safety already installed.[/QUOTE]
The trigger can be installed with the safety in, it's just more difficult. Making sure it's on "fire" make it a bit easier, though having it out completely turns it into a cake walk.

I attempted, the trigger that came with my kit simply would not go down far enough to fit under the safety, and I had to cock the hammer once I had that assembly in in order to get the safety to fit.
Rented a full auto MP5, it was tight. Put 150 rounds through her.

MP5's are some of the most fun Full Auto's you can shoot. Thompsons are a hell of a lot of fun too, I like them more than shooting a UMP .45. I really want to see how a Vector handles though.

arc weapons are stupid and would never work
plasma weapons are pretty much super-hot flamethrowers with stupid-high energy requirements
gauss weapons are basically normal weapons with, again, stupid-high energy requirements
if I have to choose, give me the gauss pistol. Less chance of electrocuting or burning myself.

Gauss. Directed energy is weak and inefficient, ballistics are the real O.G.

A thin beam, pulsed a couple hundred times per second, will actually poke holes through stuff and flash-boil organic tissue.
But that doesn't change lasers' ridiculous inefficiency, especially inside an atmosphere. You're better off using all that battery power to accelerate bits of metal.

I'd go with the CZ. I've shot Jericho's, tanfoglios, sarzilmaz, and a few other cz clones and nothing shoots quite as well as the original for me. That and CZ has aftermarket out the wazoo, although I don't know how much of that is available to you where you live. There's a reason why they're big in IPSC.

Well, I've discovered that m-lok t-nuts fucking suck. Pain in the ass to install, and they mar the handguard. I like the wide nuts that came with the scout mount far better. Anybody know where I can get similar nuts?

They're great for accessories that you may need to move on a regular basis or if you need to quickly move them to another platform. I love mine.
Like I said though, the nuts that came with the MOE Scout light mount work just fine. They spread the load out enough that it doesn't mar the plastic, and they're easier to tighten. I don't know why they're not standard.
If I could get two extra sets of those, I'd be a happy man.

That's how Magpul's MOE stuff used to attach, now they do M-lok as well and most shops only sell that nowadays for the same reason.
Good luck just getting picattiny mount accessories in most shops nowadays.
