I'm assuming it's a bad thing that my PTR's rollers are different sizes?
I only noticed when I cleaned it Saturday night after shooting. :v:
Did you punch out pin holding the rollers and use a micrometer or caliper on the rollers?

No. They're noticeably different in size. They also appear to be made using different tooling, the smaller one has more pronounced beveling along the topside perimeter, and the underside retention rim is narrower. The larger one is a little shinier, as if the finish or even the material is different.
you having any bolt gap issues?
The bolt gap was at the absolute upper-limit for tolerance. I ran a couple hundred rounds through it on Saturday to break it in, it's just below the limit prescribed in the manual. Functioned fine as far as I could tell.
I couldn't hit shit though. I suspected it was a sight-picture/cheek-weld issue. Now that I think about it, an improperly-seated bolt might be a contributing factor.
Take it up with PTR and see how they work it out. Shouldn't be too bad to fix.
BC here, going to do the training/write my PAL/RPAL soon, soooo excited to wait forever to get approved :v
If you ever have any questions feel free to ask, chances are I know the answers or how to find them.

yeah something definitely sounds wonky there take a set of calipers and measure the rollers to atleast figure out what rollers are in there 8mm is standard and it goes up or down by 2's from -8 (7.92mm) to +10 (8.10mm). Mismatched rollers can most assuredly do some funky things to 91's on the plus side it's cheap to correct.
Has anyone ever heard of the Finnish Tkiv Dragunov manufactured by SAKO?

Nice Ruger, just be sure your knuckles don't get nail by the dragoon style trigger guard.

Already done it once, learned my lesson lol.
I love the look, but it doesn't love my knuckles too much.

I'll give her the old cylinder spin just this once.
I have the Super Blackhawk Hunter. 7.5" barrel and a plow grip. Nice thing about is the trigger guard is rounded and it can mount a scope thanks to Ruger's scope rings included with it. Kinda pricey though. It should be hovering around $750-$850 new now. A real blast to shoot.
Have you tried 44spl in it yet?

Nope, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Looking at the google images for the Hunter, I'm kind of jealous. They're fucking gorgeous. If I had the extra $250 to spend to upgrade to that, I would have done it.
My 130 pound sister saw the gun and immediately went "Cool! I want to shoot it so bad!" Chances are .44spl is going to be coming in pretty soon.
Sliced my finger open closing my knife. This is the second time this knife has cut me, but at least I know it's still sharp.
Took a couple more pictures in better lighting today.

In my experience, the gun is dead on when using factory 240gr 44mag ammo. When using 44spl, it shoots crazy high. At 35 feet I have to aim 6" below the bullseye to hit it. So just be aware of your point of aim and point of impact with your ammo.

Hey, whaddaya know, I bought 150 rounds of .44 240gr soft points. That's bizarre to hear, though. Thanks for the information!

I'll second this notion. All in favor?
My brass punches got in!

Now I just need to start getting parts. I'm thinking of waiting for black friday sales but I found a gun shop 10 minutes down the road that sells PSA shit, Spike's lowers, keymod rails, and everything I'll need for pretty much online prices. They also have individually bagged small parts that I know I'll lose.
Field Grade Garands are back in stock!
https://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/
It's been 2 or 3 months since the M1 Garands were reclassified in Norway, so more people are allowed to buy them, so this one company that usually sells to LEO, security and IPSC shooters figured they'd take some Garands in to sell. There's already a waiting list with a whopping 8 people on it. Which really sucks, because they are only taking 4 rifles :v:

Nice. Still sad, looking at what's available.
I kinda wish they were at least allowed to sell parts kits for M14s and so on. Imagine a refurbished, semi-only M16A2 for $750.
Back from the gun show. Everyone wanted to buy my C96 (but nobody wanted to pay for it) and only one guy was interested in the sword. He had a great little WW1 period German 25 auto which he wanted to trade for it, but when I walked away for a drink he sold it to someone :downs:
Oh, you're selling your C96? What kind of price are you looking for?
Nah, I just took it up there to have an excuse to wear it for a little bit and make some conversation. I met another C96 owner and got to talk history with some cool old dudes who were asking me about it. I got a lot more offers than I was expecting including a Desert Eagle and an Auto Ordnance Thompson clone but I wasn't really interested in those.
I got to play with a Jericho 941. Those are pretty neat guns.
Thoughts on a 20" barrel for my AR15? Was thinking it might be fun to get a full rifle one since I plan on getting a 11" or something next year.

Only if it's a .308 barrel :v:
Went to the range and shot a variety of heavier grain rounds through my AR. Love 77gr but I wish it wasn't so darn expensive.
Yeah I need to get into reloading.
I haven't touched my reloading press in 3 years :(
.308 is damn expensive, I'd be tempted to get into reloading if it weren't for the fact that my PTR pretty much destroys brass on extraction :v:
