Come on CZ don't stoop that low.
CZ finally made a striker fired pistol: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/11/jeremy-s/cz-announces-p-10-c-striker-fired-pistol/
Neat. Into the smelter it goes.

The nice thing is that it's got reciprocity with another one of CZ's magazines, so thats definitely cool.
And it looks just like a Ruger American pistol.
Actually, it looks to me like the lovechild of a CZ and Steyr M9A1.
Looks like generic, polymer-framed, striker-fired duty pistol, model number 2,574. We don't need more of these things, the market's already saturated with perfectly good models. What could it possibly bring to the table that would make it anything more than yet another option in a sea of options? I dunno, maybe I'm just not enough of a pistol guy. Rifles have always been my big thing.
I am tempted to get a HK33 parts kit. Is $600 good, yay or nay?

Well, we really don't need any more ARs or wildcat cartridge ARs; who thought .25-45 was a good idea? Ballistically, it's terrible.
Hello everyone, first time on thread. A guy at the range is giving me his Marlin 99 for free, along with the scope. (UK so its going on my fathers licence until i'm 18). Is it any good? From what i can tell it seems like a great rifle and the guy who owns it obsessivly looks after his firearms so it'll be alright in that regard. In the ways of Semi .22s i've fired a Ruger (didn't like it) and (technically) own a Browning take down (FN production) so i'm looking foward to the Marlin.
It's a variant of the Model 60, and to my understanding has a fairly nice wood stock on it. It should be a fairly decent rifle. Since it's tube-fed, it should shoot .22 short, long, and long rifle (not sure if the UK licenses will allow you to buy anything but long rifle though), though I can't say for sure that .22 short would cycle the action.
It 100% is, but in the UK you can get tossed in prison for owning a replica that looks too much like a real gun. Imagine getting arrested for owning a fake gun
You can get arrested for a replica in Canada, unless it's a replica of an antique.

"What's the point of this thing" is a valid question, though. A rifle that takes paper cartridges is a step up over a powder gun. Most striker fired pistols on the market today are virtually identical and within the same price bracket and none of them are really innovating. What's this one doing differently? I'd rather go back to the 1800s and early 1900s where gun makers were throwing crazy shit at the wall to see what stuck. That's where you get some truly interesting and innovative designs. How many guns on the market today are one dude's passion project just because he thought it'd be neat? What happened to companies like Cobray that just made stupid but charming and fun shit?
You say that and mock Hi-Point? -Yes, that's a joke-

A bunch of sheet metal crap that went blat very quickly. Not very practical. What's the hot shit right now? Striker-fired guns. They're lightweight and reliable, and serve a practical purpose for carry. CZ is trying to tap into a lucrative market with their brand notoriety. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Colt releases a striker gun in the near future.

Boberg and Coonan come to mind for me.
You forgot about the CZ 100 from over 20 years ago.
Well I'll be darned! Want an AK. 47 or 74 is fine. Would prefer something more mid-tier since it will be my first one. But I would entertain other options.
Want an AK. 47 or 74 is fine. Would prefer something more mid-tier since it will be my first one. But I would entertain other options.
You're spending at least $800 on one then. Go with DDI, Vepr, or a WASR if you can find them.

If I were going to buy either. I'm a military rifle guy. I like military rifles. Most handguns just don't appeal to me, and the ones that do are either expensive, like the 92FS, or unsuitable for anything beyond sporting use, like the M1911. Well, maybe... anyone know anything about the H&K USP line? I do love me some German Engineering.
You're spending at least $800 on one then. Go with DDI, Vepr, or a WASR if you can find them.
Yeah I have been reading about the Vepr and it looks like a great deal.
Want an AK. 47 or 74 is fine. Would prefer something more mid-tier since it will be my first one. But I would entertain other options.
Get a WASR, they're actually good AKs now, and from what I've heard, Battlefield Las Vegas runs them as their primary AK-47 and they've held up exceptionally despite the constant abuse. If you want a 74, buy an Arsenal SLR 107 series. The new VEPR FMK series are heavy duty 16" RPKs basically in 5.45 and 7.62x39 and they're $1k
Which one is the real one? [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/hHsb53.jpg[/t] Bet you can't tell.
Which one is the real one? [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/hHsb53.jpg[/t] Bet you can't tell.
the one that says "Glock" on it :v:
Guy wants to trade my AR-15 and Prussian saber for a gorgeous 1907 Swede Mauser and a gorgeous tiger-striped Yugo Mauser, both matching. Sounds like a killer trade to me but the AR is my only semi rifle and I do already have a German Kar98k... As a side note I bought a Sten

I'd keep the Prussian saber if it were me though, assuming it's genuine and not a Cold Steel repro.
The saber's in relic condition, it's only worth a few hundred bucks. I like it but it's kind of the odd man out in my Imperial German collection since it's specifically an Uhlan saber, so it's almost more Polish than Prussian.

Personally I'd hold onto that saber, maybe swing some sort of deal with the AR+cash/ammo? [editline]24th November 2016[/editline] I've got a huge history boner so that's just my opinion [editline]24th November 2016[/editline] Like running my hands over the bumps and dings in 100 year old rifle furniture gives me little history orgasms
I'm just trying to figure how many goddamn Mausers I need. This'd make four Mausers in my collection :v: If I sub the sword out I'd have to comp $300 which I can't swing right now especially since I just checked out on the Sten.

Like, are we talking about a non-firing replica, or a semi-only reproduction? Because I'm gonna call pics-or-it-ain't-real if you try to tell me your broke ass just bought a transferable machine-gun :v:
