How the dick can you get IVI 5.56 but those bastards won't sell it to Canadian civilians?
I swear to god, i'm trying to convince my Texan friend not to bring his airsoft single action army to the range tomorrow. He wants to shoot it. At tanks. 500-1000 meters away. [editline]3rd December 2016[/editline] Keep in mind we go there to discuss with old buggers who've been shooting since the 70s, also getting the chance to fire what they've got and what my father brings but no, he wants to shoot the fucking airsoft
Are we doing optic reviews? 4x32 CQB Prismatic Scope by Sun Optics This is the first optic I got for my AR. I got it because it was cheap (~$175) and seemed to get good reviews. I do enjoy it, however the eye relief is SHIT. You have to crane your neck very much and put it all the way back on the top rail (certainly will not allow for a BUIS). Your eye must be 1-2.5 inches away. However the optic is nice in that it has a good reticle and three colors with three brightness settings for each (in addition to a black, no lights option). 3.25/5

For all I know, it walked off a training range. I just saw it on the shelf at the local gun shop and thought it was worth checking out. I'd also like to point out that Russian civilians aren't allowed to own weapons chambered in military cartridges, yet they have no problem shipping crate after crate of Mosin Nagants and 7.62x54r to the US. Could be a similar situation.
How the dick can you get IVI 5.56 but those bastards won't sell it to Canadian civilians?
They do the same thing here in Australia. They export surplus military ammo to the US and sell it for 30c a round while we pay $1 a round for brass cased 5.56mm here in Australia.

Canada 151, you take shots of it :V [editline]2nd December 2016[/editline]
They do the same thing here in Australia. Maybe in Trumps America when can get surplus Aussie AUGs.
Maybe in Trumps America when can get surplus Aussie AUGs.
I want a Lithgow Atrax with a full-auto trigger pack. Such a light, handy, lethal little hunk of metal and plastic.
I really want a lightning link. But I also do not want to be assfucked for 10 years in a federal prison.

With the 170gr going about 2300fps that's just shy of 2000 ftlbs at the muzzle. It would pack quite a punch within 200 yards. Makes me wonder how well it would fair out of a short barrel. Also seems like you could chamber it in an AR without having to worry about the shortcomings of the 7.62x39 case taper when using it on that platform.
Any of you guys know anything about Vector Uzi rifles? A guy wants to trade one for my Super Blackhawk. It has the folding stock and 4 mags, new in box. Getting a lot forums taking about poor fitting parts and parts breakage. Doesn't sound too appealing.

Theyre pretty pricy for what youre getting, I wouldnt go for it personally. Now if you were offered a Norinco uzi...
My mom's boyfriend inherited a very early 1900s Winchester 1890 .22 pump action. I thought it was neat but I was surprised to learn it could be worth over $3000 :v:
Offer him $50 for it.
I ordered TS200 aperture sights and two 35rd Archangel mags for the SKS. I need to give it a thourough cleaning. Not much cosmo is visible, but it is in all the cracks and I'm sure the bolt carrier and gas piston are gunked in it. Other than Simple green and odorless oven cleaner, anything I should get to clean it up and give it a good finish after? I think the next firearm I purchase will be a handgun, but the next rifle will definitely be a Ljungman AG42 variant, they are just so sexy :D Always wanted to make a bullpup stock for an SKS, all the stocks I find just look greebly as fuck or just plain cheap.
Hey gents, I'd like to use my G.I. Bill and go to school but I'm a little unsure of what to go for/where to go. I was wondering if gunsmithing is a good thing to go for? I'v always loved firearms which is what got me thinking about gunsmithing. Any thoughts?

I took the Witness out today and put 100 rounds through it. Had 30 failures in the first 50, then none in the last 50, but the rear sight flew off. The factory magazine is fucked up and this aftermarket magazine for it is pinned at 10 rounds but works fine. I took it to the gunsmith at the range and he staked the rear sight and polished the feed ramp for free, which was really nice, but I'm going to wait to test fire again until I put new springs in it as well.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/wcJljTr.jpg[/t] I rarely post my new guns anymore so here you go, a pre WW1 Remington Model 10A. It's like an Ithaca 37 with it feeding from the bottom and ejecting from the bottom. Pretty cool
Hey, I have one too. Does your suck as badly as mine? Mine usually won't cycle more than twice in a row without a jam. If it wasn't such a neat shotgun, it'd have been sold long ago. :v:
Actually works pretty good! I needed a shotgun that day because my other one sucks and I was leaving for a squirrel hunting trip in like 2 hours. Drove to the LGS, found it and fell in love with it. Learned after that it was used side by side with the M1897 in WW1. But mine is definitely from somewhere around 1909-10. SN is 19xxx out of 220k-ish. Hoping to find a trench barrel to swap it out, wouldn't dare cutting it. The gun is in phenomenal shape for being over 100 years old and killed a couple squirrels. Also holds 6+1, pretty high cap for that old.
Remington stamped date codes on the barrels. I don't know them and I don't know where I found them, but mine was made in June 1924. Mine has a weird barrel length and no commercial markings, I'm told it's a retired FBI gun. Neat piece. The action is very interesting (and terrible)
Here are some pics of the CETME L I built. Thought someone here would be interested. [t]https://files.catbox.moe/kqe44y.jpg[/t]
[t]https://files.catbox.moe/ts7kka.jpg[/t]
Not quite done but its mostly together. Also looking for some 5.56, found this http://beckammunition.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=84&tracking=52de29e60bcbc. Never got any before, wanted to see if this was fine.
So how does shipping ammo work? Can you buy it online and have it sent to your house or does it go to a FFL?
So how does shipping ammo work? Can you buy it online and have it sent to your house or does it go to a FFL?
Most states you can just buy it and ship to your house. CA is going to have background checks for ammo in 2018 so you would need to use an FFL I think. Don't think any other state is doing it.
I think you might be able to get ammo shipped to your home here in Oz but I suspect it's very difficult to ship explosives through the mail.
