I'm just gonna buy a new sight blank and bring a file to the range with me one day.

My mom got a 3" group with my Mosin at 100m. I can't, but since she did I know that rifle is fine, I am problem.
Same, I got a fist sized group of 6 at 200m with milsurp 147gr fmj. I get that being a 100 year old wartime battle rifle, a lot of them have pretty clapped out barrels by now, but at least in my case, rifle is fine.

Though maybe i dont get to say rifle is fine, since i put on a brass stacker and a 7x scope.
Does anyone know of any good shooting ranges near the strip in Las Vegas where you can go and rent a couple guns and put a few mags through them for a reasonable price?

Dunno about price, but I do know that Battlefield Vegas has a large selection of full-auto stuff atleast.
Gunsmith just got back to on a quote to fit the replacement barrel to my No5.
Re-barrelling and head spacing is $275, shortening the barrel and turning half an inch down slightly so the flash hider fits is $165.
I think they're trying to rip me off. This is maybe a two hour job, and far more likely a one hour job.
Yeah. Initially they said $275 which I thought was a bit steep but I wasn't going to complain because I was fed up not being able to shoot my No5, then they "clarified" and added $165 and was like "lol no".

Yeah I saw that place but it looks like they only do pre-set "packages" and I was hoping to find somewhere you can pick out an individual gun to use, especially cause my girlfriend is really timid and she's never shot anything before so I wanted to get her started with a .22 or something similar, but all these package deals are like "CALL OF DUTY SPEC OPS MEGA PACK" with a SAW and an AR-15 with drum mags and other ridiculous shit.
Am I better off looking for a smaller gun store with a range rather than one of these tourist trap full auto range places?
afaik, all rental ranges are "crap" but Battlefield Vegas is made espescially for tourists. But sure, a smaller range would probably be better for getting down the basics with .22 and such.

If you can find a small range in town or somewhere near vegas, they ought to have pistol rentals that arent all out packages. Vegas is an international tourist trap, so the ranges cater to that rather than people who want to learn to shoot a gun.

There's one near Gatlinburg TN that has Friday Date Night specials. Rent one lane, get a second shooter half off and one full mag for a full-auto for no charge.
Though, that's no where near Vegas.

Was that Ignition?
Call up Gary Jones, he might do it cheaper.

So is it the 'tarded, sub-'tarded, or non-tarded version?
Anyone have any recommendations for where to pick up some HK-style picatinny diopter sights?
On HKparts.net, they're running me about US$350 for a set of 417/MR762 sights.
Could settle for some other BUIS, would probably prefer an optic on the RFB, anyways.

You're in a tough spot to get a diopter rear sight. Just shell out the $150 for a set of Troy HK style folding sights.
I'm vacationing in Hawaii and I didn't realize that there is an outdoor range here. It's too bad I can't CC here but going to a decent range would almost make it worth being stationed here.

I dont know, how can you tell and whats the difference?

Full tardation is like a AWB ban style gun. Trigger moved all the way back to the rear trunnion (giving it the worst trigger pull imaginable), without a pistol grip. Sub-tard is a genuine normal AK, but its not threaded for a flash hider and no bayonet lug, sometimes without the scope rail. Non-tard is a normal AKM.
My RFB came early, got to pick it up before Christmas dinner.
The gunstore clerks wanted to play with it before I left.

Definitely the RFB, my bad.
How about an updated family photo?

Ah, just found out the Zastava is an M59/66A1, seeing as it has the flip-up night sights.
Such an odd collection. A couple pretty cheap guns then bam, $1800 Kel Tec

It was only $1499 \/:v:\/
I'm trying to get my family out shooting. Nothing gets the kids hype like a bullpup .308 carbine.
Woke up and unwrapped a Lead Sled Solo. That'll make my next range trip easier.
Anybody get some good guns for Christmas?
I got a Smith & Wesson SW22 Victory. Pretty sweet gun, even has a threaded barrel. Definitely getting a suppressor for it sometime next year. It likes middle of the road .22lr the best, but hates dirt cheap stuff. The first mag I loaded up was Magtech .22lr and the very first shot was a dud. I then had 3-4 FTF jams, and one FTE. Every other round I fired, including several year old bulk Federal high velocity rounds, worked flawlessly, aside from the CCI Quiets I tried, which I didn't expect to cycle anyways.
I don't think the bolt or spring is heavy enough for hyper velocity rounds, I found unburned powder and black marks inside the magwell after only 100 rounds, of which maybe 20 were CCI Stingers, and 10 were Aguila Super Maximum. Other than that, it's accurate as hell, pretty reliable, and the mags have a way to compress the spring and follower down to avoid tearing up my thumb while reloading them. I give it an 8/10, only because it needs a slightly heavier spring to handle the hyper velocity rounds.
I gave my dad that box of hollow points that doesn't fit in my RAMI for Christmas. It should work in his P07 fine. Gotta keep it in the CZ family.
Got a B.A.D. lever for my AR.
My wife signed me up for a reloading class. It was a great experience. I hope to get some equipment next year.
