We've all had this argument 500 times so Ill digress so we dont shit up the thread.
So, anyone want to guess the muzzle velocity of a full sized file cartridge with a barrel as long as the base?
As in, if it's a .30-06 the barrel is .3" long? Because my vote is it doesn't fire hardly a thing since it doesn't have enough space to actually accelerate the bullet before the gases escape.
Got myself two new rifles, RAS47 with magpul furniture and a C308 and was able to shoot them today. Try shooting different brass. Also check the follower to make sure the spring on the magazine isn't an issue if it fails to feed. Check the extractor/ejector to make sure they aren't broken or failing in some way causing the weapon to not eject spent casings such as in double-feeds or stove pipes. Also make sure the gas system is functioning correctly to allow the proper leverage on the bolt to make sure the bolt is fully opening. But most likely, check the magazines if you don't think the ammo is the problem. Guns tend to not like some ammos and like others more. Biggest thing will be to try another ammo and to make sure the components aren't broken.
First time shooting it, any ideas?
Yes. Scrap it and buy a PTR. I wouldn't trust Century to build a paperweight without fucking it up.
First time shooting it, any ideas?
Your extractor may be weak/out of spec. You may want to replace the extractor and spring. Also, lock your bolt open and see how much your ejector is sticking out. Otherwise, look on the HKpro forums for more useful advice other than scrap it/buy a PTR.
Also make sure the gas system is functioning correctly to allow the proper leverage on the bolt to make sure the bolt is fully opening.
It's a CETME clone. It operates off of blowback. That tube over the barrel is just for the charging handle.
I just gave generic answers to diagnosing feed problems. If it relies on blowback, ignore checking a gas system and instead ensure the ammo provides enough kinetic energy (again, try a new ammo) to cycle the action.

I've had more cycling issues come from PMC in AR-10's than any other brand. Try the ZQI stuff if you can find it.
PMC .357 is pretty dirty too. [editline]26th December 2016[/editline] Just bought an Ares Armor trigger for my new AR, because the trigger that came in my LPK was shit. For $175 this trigger better be everything I hope it will.
The C308 has some problems though, was firing PMC brass through it but I highly doubt it was the ammo, but it kept failing. Aahh, back from my christmas trip. Maybe now ill have a chance to try out my tokarev one of these days.
We've all had this argument 500 times so Ill digress so we dont shit up the thread.
To be fair this was my favorite edc argument yet. Too bad i was tied up on a road trip.

Any of you guys ever use any of the hyperfire triggers? I've messed with them plenty and I sell them at the shop, I'm just wondering what your opinions are in regards to compairable price triggers.
Tokarev? Tokarev.
Fuck, thats pretty. Cerakote? Ive got an m57 with decent bluing and a partly melted handgaurd. Ill play around with it before i decide if i want to make it pretty or leave it with its um... Rustic... Charm?

I bought it from an old guy who wanted to replicate a Soviet Afghanistan infantry kit. I guess he messed up the pigment ratios because it came out straight gold. I got it for peanuts, and the SN starts with "BR0", so you can't beat that.
Cyke secretly CC's that Tok in a soft leather holster everywhere.
Cyke secretly CC's that Tok in a soft leather holster everywhere.
:shh: I keep the hammer down and the safety on without a round in the chamber. It's my dirty little fetish.
Got to put about 100 rounds through both the M59 and the RFB yesterday at the range, probably more like 140 out of the Zastava. I picked up their last Sig Sauer Romeo 4 for the RFB since it was cheaper than their selection of irons. Holy hell the concussion from being so close to the muzzle of the RFB, it's exactly what I was hoping for. The trigger is a+. I'm already itching to go shooting again.

The M3 works with the M27 IAR while the older ones don't because of the shape of the M27's magwell is different than a standard M16/M4's.
Wait... why'd they ban PMAGs? I thought the Marines who swore by them so much and made Magpul a household name? I'm so confused...
Wait... why'd they ban PMAGs? I thought the Marines who swore by them so much and made Magpul a household name? I'm so confused...
Probably because, like he said, the original ones don't work with the IAR.
Why the absolute fuck did it take this long to get one in FDE.
Why can't you paint/duracoat it yourself?
because the magwell will grind off the paint at some point the sand magazine + some darkish dye would do the trick but idk it's nice of magpul to get their thumbs out of their ass i still want them to make a translucent pmag or at least 10/20rnd ones with a full-length maglevel window
Have you tried the Lancer L5 AWM? They're just as good if not better than PMAGs since they have steel feed lips with translucent polymer bodies. A certain Army unit was seen using them recently [t]http://www.lancer-systems.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/999-000-2320-01-img03_L5awm-682x1024.jpg[/t][t]http://x3.cdn03.imgwykop.pl/c3201142/comment_cQmAt7SPrqEaw9mrPcozRHFVr30i0VkC.jpg[/t]
Lancer mags are great. Have a few myself but I still prefer my steel mags.

Stopped into a gas station after work today and was behind a guy in line that had sagging jeans, a hoodie with the hood up, and a fucking LCP or LC9 just hanging out of the dudes back right pocket. Like what the fuck? Dude showed no signs of situational awareness at all while inside a gas station with people standing behind him while his gun is hanging out.
