I need some diagnostic help here. I'm trying pull the charge handle but i can't pull it back. Its like it is suck on something and will not budge..i took a picture of how far i can pull the bolt back. When I take the lower off the upper I take the BCG out and put it back in and reattach the lower to the upper I can pull the charge handle back once or twice then it gets stuck again. I don't know what is up. Any ideas? I can get it to charge back then suddenly it gets stuck again..im not sure what the issue is.

Where's the non-Cali version with no filler?

Also check the head of your charging handle, I saw one where the gas key had come loose by just a hair and it peened the shit out of the charging handle causing it to bind.
I'm still waiting on this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/pfTQdQm.jpg[/t]
Where's the non-Cali version with no filler?
I don't believe it's a filler, more so a base that it comes packaged with. Probably just had it on there for the pictures. [editline]29th December 2016[/editline] Oh wait that is a filler. Cancelling preorder. Fuck that noise. [editline]29th December 2016[/editline] Oh that's cool, their contact page gives me an access denied response when I try to cancel it. Welp time to charge back.

Sounds to me like it's binding there.
I'm still waiting on this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/pfTQdQm.jpg[/t]
yeah as far as halo space gun stocks go I much prefer that render version to the hera stock. I've said it before but the hera stock looks too much like a fucked up AIAW/benelli M3 flipper baby for my liking
Lancer mags are great. Have a few myself but I still prefer my steel mags.
Depends on whether or not you can get it to feed reliably. Skip to 12:00.
So the winchester 1897 I picked up still functions decently well, however it seems to have a problem extracting. Before I go out and spend like 150$ on replacing the extractor, I figured i'd ask here just in case. Anyone have any ideas? I've read somewhere that the shotgun doesn't like steel cased hulls, but I cant find any that are pure brass.
Try using only lighter loads, and depending on the age of yours it could be chambered for 2 5/8 shells and not for 2 3/4. Mine was MFD in 1913 but was modded at some point to accept 2 3/4. You can test it by putting a spent 2 3/4 shell in the chamber, and if it doesn't seat easily you know you can't use them.

Midway USA has a nice video about reloading those. You don't need press to do it too which is great.
Is the 1897 an original or a reproduction? My repro 1887 had serious extraction issues (fired shells stuck in the chamber) until I polished the chamber with steel wool, and IIRC the 1897s are made in the same factory so I would not be surprised if it's the same issue.
I really want some brass 12ga shells but I don't have the patience to load them myself. Supposedly they correct all the Model 10's misbehavior.
My magpul grip was tight as fuck, ended up having to shave some of it down.
2 3/4 shells fit just fine, I'll try to find lighter loads. I was using some pretty light target loads but the steel hull expanded too much and got stuck. I used some more expensive (yet still steel) hulls, and it yielded some better results, however it still failed to eject the final round of 5.
If you were already using target loads and can use 2 3/4 shells, then what I was talking about is probably not the problem. Is it just not grabbing the shells from the chamber or are they not coming off the bolt after firing? Mine's nearly 100% original and will eat though just about any plastic case steel head target loads, so it might not be the shells causing your issues.
Double check that the gun has a 2-3/4" chamber. From what I can find, all the guns produced prior to 1926/27 have 2-5/8" chambers and the pressure increase could exacerbate the effects of a dirty/nicked chamber. 2-3/4" shells will chamber fine in most 2-5/8" guns, because it's the length of the fired case, not unfired, so you can't assume from the fact that a 2-3/4" fits that it has a 2-3/4" chamber. Either way, if shells are getting stuck and not extracting, sounds like the chamber needs to be cleaned out and/or polished.

I like how thumbhole stocks used to be the most hated thing around, now everyone is flocking over this one because its made by a 'tactical' company.
I'm flocking over this one because it looks cool with the pseudo P90 forend and it doesn't look retarded like most thumbholes. vs The Hera stock actually looks cool and not like it was "designed" as a last minute solution to comply with a ban.
I like how thumbhole stocks used to be the most hated thing around, now everyone is flocking over this one because its made by a 'tactical' company.
I always liked the thumbhole stocks of certain guns like the G36/SL8.
Maybe it's just me but I've never found thumbhole stocks to be comfortable on any gun, even my PSL. Seems like people are buying into this for the aesthetic rather than the function.
Yeah, pretty much. I'm not in ST6, I just like cool looking guns. :v:

So I'm starting to reload. Bought some tools today and I'm going to a gun show tomorrow for supplies.
So I'm starting to reload. Bought some tools today and I'm going to a gun show tomorrow for supplies.
Find a shop with reloading supplies unless you are doing some real obscure rounds. The gun shows tend to price gouge in my experience.

Anyone here watch follow Small Arms Solutions/Chris Bartocci on youtube? He mostly does videos on AR-15/AR-10 type rifles, but he is very knowledgeable about the various little details and design decisions that each company does differently due to his experience and connections in the firearms industry. He's not media trained and does tend to ramble a bit, but his videos are still pretty informative
